What a prick. Obviously enjoying the limelight and publicity.

Wonder if that contravenes any rules with the Bar Council.

How can anyone look at this and think it doesn't stink like shit, is beyond me.

Here you have the Lawyer, who worked directly on behalf of Middlesbrough, basking in the limelight of the result. That's not normal behaviour from professional legal people, absolutley not. He was part of it, he helped bring a case...done...now go away, but the fact they are basking in this smells so bad. It's not just him either, even someone on the Independent Commission came out basking in it - oh yeah, that former 1 appearance Boro player.

I genuinely think if Boro win, this will become such a big mess, if Hull get involved and have a bit more shit about them, they could uncover a load of corrupt shit.

If I don't want people to know what I'm doing I close my curtains and put up a fence or hedge round my garden. Surely with the rules against spying causing such complications and with it being treated as such a serious crime when the information that can be gleaned is little more than can be found by watching videos or the Manager's press conference , spying should be allowed as long as you don't break in to somewhere private, and the onus should be on teams to protect themselves from things they don't want to be seen?

No no no no. Spying is spying, if it didn't help us we wouldn't do it now would we. I mean it obviously has some sort of cost

And closing the curtains really, your fridge may be spying on you right now 🙂. There again if it didn't help someone in some way they wouldn't do it.

That's the sad thing, that it needed someone with a fucking set of bollocks, a legal version of Bielsa, to go into attack mode.

We were passive. Like a little ratty chihuahua submitting to another dog. Embarrassing. Hoped, prayed and wished for a slap on the wrists and fine. Please sir, I'll admit to it - just a fine, right?

Fuck right off SR.

Our case isn't comparable with Bielsa. Bielsa didn't break an actual written rule, he was charged with some wishy washy thing about not acting in good faith and defended himself.

We were caught red handed in violation of a very specific rule. We were bang to rights. We sent him. Tonda organised it. It was specifically against the rules we'd agreed to. There was nothing to "go into attack mode" about.

That’s the long and short of it, it seems, yes. Fucking pathetic from us

Cmon Hull.

Hull kept it tight and struck late against Millwall. Boro can't run for more than 70 mins so if it's 0-0 at that point you've got to fancy Hull

It’s set up for Middlesbrough to win.

£10 on it.

If Hull lose and they appeal or sue or whatever the EFL will just say the whole saga is done.

Nothing will come of it.

Utterly underwhelming and pointless end to the season.

The pundits saying the EFL have done as well as they can - no they haven’t.

If they had such concerns they could’ve postponed it, not a ball had to be kicked.

As soon as Saints won, they won fairly and squarely on the pitch.

Saints sell out 37,000 tickets.

Punishment doesn’t fit the crime.

Middlesbrough cry, winge and shriek, trial by media is a success, pathetically reinstated.

Boro start to sell tickets when the appeal is yet to finish.

Flip flop on time of kick off.

Hull 100% have a case to go up automatically.

Middlesbrough fart their way to promotion despite losing picking up £200m along the way.

EFL aren’t backing down if Boro win now.

No, of course the EFL will fight it. But it's not them that Hull are taking their case to, it's the high court. It will be Hull v the EFL. So they won't be able to fudge it themselves this time.

Should have held the inquiry after the final.

Yep, they should have let this all play out and then demote us back down to the champ if we had won it. Boro should not be benefitting out of this whatsoever, and Hull shouldn’t have been fucked about. As much as I don’t like what (a section of) our club has done, I equally dislike the way it’s all been handled.

Justice will be done when Hellberg is crying again at 1730. Want to see footage of Boro fans in tears too, and hopefully that helmet Gibson.

So many empty seats, absolutely fuming with Saints that we’ve been put in this position.

Really? How fucking hilarious. Great fans, great fans.

The entire blocks unsold are in the Hull end tbf, in the same spot as City’s were for the cup game. But it looked pretty sparse in places as they panned around the Boro end as it was kicking off. Halfway line seats are half empty by the dugouts

not just . " the lawyer " who played once 30-odd years ago). I would have asked him which team he supports now ?

Has he watched Boro " at all ..in the last 30 years?  Danger signal was there was already  "a Boro' connection"

in the first EFL "trial" before they pronounced the verdict of cancelling Saints' place in the Final and the -4 pts.

The subsequent "independent meeting " was only ever going to agree with the original decision - especially

as there was also someone with a Boro' connection on that panel.

There is no argument (or excuse) for the offence, but the loss of the Final place (and potential promotion money)

is a massive "fine " in itself.  The verdict itself was a disgrace, and like a death sentence for a parking offence.

Clearly the EFL thinks that no such offence has been committed in the last 6 years (since the Leeds affair), but

the very stipulation that no such "event" should be allowed in the last 72 hours before a game - is clearly is an

admission that such spying events are commonplace, and they simply close their eyes to such situations.

Its not even the 40th anniversary like SKY keep going on about. The first of the new era playoffs took place at the end of the 1986/87 season. The 40th anniversary will be next year

This is the 2025/2026 season which makes it the 40th edition.

It’s the 40th, rather than the 40th anniversary

According to the commentators they were working on Ayling marking Azaz, and also playing out from the back - when we had a quick look. So therefore it's all a fair outcome.

Terrible game.

I cannot decide if I would prefer to watch Boro lose and face them 2x next season with 2 fingers permanently in the air.

OR

Watch Boro win and then lose every game next season.

I think the first one would bring me more joy.

Yep, I'm not the most confident when its Saints but the run had really had me believing we would have won well today .

Thats the gutting part, such a  waste. Shambles from top to bottom.

Two poor teams with limited fanbases.

Doubt if 37000 odd people bought  quite expensive tickets to see Hull.

What's their home crowd, about 12000'ish?

Boro have got decent support in fairness. It's a long distance to sort in 3 days for 37k people.

Probably, still that's a lot of empty seats.

Perhaps they're still in the bars

It’s all set up for Hackney to come on and score/assist the winner imo.
