Surely there is no way we could be kicked out?  It's clearly too late to do anything before Wembley,  given the decision won't be for a while AND we'd have the right to appeal.

If there was any attempt to award the game to Hull afterwards, Boro could argue that they might have beaten them in the final and demand a new game. Chaos

Surely the most likely outcome is a fine plus at worst something like a points deduction next season (or next time in championship) with maybe a suspension for someone on the backroom staff.

“The year is Christmas 2028, Southampton are making a mid season charge for the European places in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough owner Steve Gibson has spent close to £50m in legal fees trying to prove that a disposable camera being used from Derbyshire to spy on their training session in the north-east, is “high tech equipment, even though it now transpires that the photo of the individual in question was taken in 2017.

Middlesbrough are already flirting with relegation to League One having not improved their squad, and having to sell to fund their off-field legal battles.

The case continues.”

If we were kicked out they would need to at least postpone the final and wait for any appeal/legal process to be finished. As you say, would be chaos.

Stefan Borson on TalkSport yesterday said he doesn't think the judgement/sanction will come until next week, which would surely be too late for play-off expulsion from a logistcal point of view (tickets, police, Wembley, EFL plans) as we would have the right of appeal to any sanction imposed, which you'd assume would add another couple of days on at least.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION We do not share your information with any third party without your agreement unless we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal or regulatory obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use or terms and conditions of purchase and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Rockliffe Hall, our staff, customers, or others. Any business is not allowed to release any personal information , that would be against GDPR . Companies are shit scared or GDPR breaches as it carries a punishment of unlimited fines usually 10% of turnover . So if they have released photos or cctv i would report them for GDPR infringements . Even the police would require a warrant.

One of those very few occasions when Cortese is the bloke you want dealing with it.

Gibson waking up with half a race horse would bring it all to a quiet end.

As for chucking us out, ridiculous, the litigation from the club and fans who have booked things would drag on for years and cost the authorities millions - and the only way they could do that at the moment is breaking their own rule of 14 days to respond.

As for a modest points penalty, that would probably guarantee relegation from the Premier League if we made it, and that would not be proportionate to the offence either.

Surely a fine and a warning is the only way, and that's only if evidence is ever produced.

The talk in the media of a "paper trail" that would implicate our staff in spying on other clubs is clearly nonsense. It might be the case for the Police investigating a serial killer. But this is just a civil matter.

Is it about time we start putting some of our own stuff into the media / to the authorities?

Boro "You're not allowed to send someone to watch training. We've released his name and picture to the media to create a witch hunt against you and him"

Saints "You're not allowed to release names and pictures without prior consent - hello authorities, I'd like to report a clear breach of GDPR"

Boro "Sh*t"

I get and agree with that but why the delay in releasing ticket details?

Isn't the business owned by Middlesbrough though? So they haven't released it they've just provided it to the EFL as part of the investigation.

For what its worth, i'm told that the club do not expect expulsion to be on the cards.

Playing for a fine, expecting a (suspended) points deduction.

Reliable source - been tighted lipped and sheepish from pretty much the minute the news broke until now. Club have clearly been incredibly tight on no info getting out.

Things could obviously change as decision hasn't been made yet. No idea of timing on this.

Told to ignore the noise in the media.

Not much to go on there, not much more than we already know, but hopefully gives an insight into how the club are playing this.

No chance Southampton will be kicked out of the final, says Simon Jordan on Talksport just now. Crook saying he expects a heavy fine and points deduction if still in EFL next season. Tickets getting announced tomorrow apparently

Have to say that whenever Crook reports on this he does seem heavily biased, like he really doesn't like us at all. Ho hum.

The photo released wasn't a part of any business CCTV or records of payments.

Look, they've been scummy throughout this but let's not try and pretend this is something it's not. That's exactly what they've been doing.

Its owned by the Chairman of Middlesbrough - but if the proverbial were to hit Boro's Football finances, you can bet the Hotel and Golf Course are registered as totally separate entities to protect the whole estate possibly going down the pan through being shown as a club asset.............. But you then never know.

The more the actual detail comes out, the more this looks like a very minor technical infringement at worse, and the more the Mboro manager and hierarchy look ridiculous.

The more they look like they're liable for some serious blow back from saints I would suggest.

There are two tiers to GDPR fines which indicate the possible maximum. The lower one is 10 million Euros or 2% of the firms global revenue (whichever is higher). The higher is 20 million Euros or 4% of the firms global revenue (whichever is higher). Either of those fines is going to bankrupt a golf club.

https://gdpr.eu/fines/

However there are factors which might alter the fine sought and it's up to the regulator in each country how to apply this.

For example Meta "only" got fined 1.2 billion Euros for mishandling user data. Instead of maximum fine of 4% of their global revenue which would have been over 5 billion.

I guess years of being called out on certain 'facts' by Saints fans can take its toll on someone's perception... ;)

The EFL almost certainly do not have the right to request it, they are not an appropriate authority, and Boro certainly do not have the right to release it.

How is he still standing there pointing his camera, in the wrong direction (if the extensive Sky re construction is to be believed) being snapped by a Boro staff member pretty close to, given the clarity, if he were up to no good and you are pointing your camera at someone taking a photo of you, surely you would be on your toes long before they could be anywhere near you for photo like that.

Nah - Its just them trying to stop their fans from spamming their ticket office. Due course will be by the weekend 👍

Rod Jane and Freddy DEFINITELY had something going on

If I remeber correctly, Jane was involved with Roger, when it was Rod, Jane and Roger.

Then married Rod whne Roger left to star in Eldorado

Then she had an affair with Freddy and left Rod, but it was all amicable.
