I love that a hearing convened to establish if Southampton had broken rules by spying would uncover serious bullying claims that had hitherto been hidden. This independent panel are good!

Plot twist: Salt refused to go at first, telling whoever sent him there that it was wrong, but he was eventually 'bullied' into going, and he's submitted that as evidence to the enquiry, in response to the club submitting that they didn't instruct him to go...?

Not one of my better conspiracy theories to be fair, and it's a pretty low bar! 😉

I've heard that Dragan is implicated and he will have to fire himself.

Here's another thought. We know Boro's training pitch is there for any Tom, Dick or Will to view. Assuming our Will was stood there looking through his phone what would the first question to him have been? Something along the lines of, 'Oi, what you doing? you can't film here.' Wouldn't he then have said, 'Sorry, I didn't realise that' then calmly stuck his phone in his pocket and walked away.

They must get dozens of people watching and trying to take photos of pro footballers. Yet our bloke is immediately identified as a spy.

Something super dodgy about all of this.

Surely the best way to go undercover would be to stand there with a Borough shirt on ? They would surely just think fan?

Have Boro proof they were even at that training session.  They were probably in the gym And Salt was filming the under 18s

I’ve seen no images of them there.  Case dismissed

Oh no.....we don't need pedo accusations 😅

There has, rightly, been a lot of criticism of the ridiculous Borough forum posts.

Unfortunately this forum is in danger of plumbing the same levels the last few days.

Releasing the photo damaged their claims a lot, they initially said he was found hiding in the bushes with a load of high tech equipment including a directional microphone, then they release that and it's clear he was stood in plain sight on a pathway with a camera phone. If he DID have all the equipment, it would make sense that they were suspicious.

It was the iPhone that gave him away because everyone knows Boro fans can't afford iPhones.

I imagined that one of Middlesbrough's analysts saw him milling about the golf club and recognised him without Mr Salt noticing him too, and told security who he was and to look out for him.

There you go. That's how easy Will Salt could have made it for himself. The fact that he didn't take one of the many options that might have avoided all this is very suspicious in itself.

Eckert is done for. Probably Spors too. Serious bullying claims. EFL board meeting now.

It was a minor assault..

but take that with a pinch of Salt.

It would be amusing if we presented what was actually recorded and there was nothing on there really, just him panning about videoing a few players stretching etc.

We would still get charged but would go against their theories of having to change formation etc.

This is doing my head in and now they say we might not hear until tomorrow.  So 80k people don't know what they're doing on Saturday.

Yeah it's been mental, how it's been dragged out isn't fair on anyone - Hull fans indirectly implicated.

I don't know why they've left this hanging for as long as they have, it's not even the crime of the century in the grand scheme of things. Stupid, yes, but this is all so overblown and not fair on us fans.

Unless M’bro have some damming evidence that isn’t in the public domain yet, this case has all the legitimacy of a Prem prima donna getting a light touch in the box, going down like he has been poleaxed and not only screaming for a penalty, but for his team to be awarded the game as the foul constituted some very very  serious cheating.

To be honest I have no idea what's going on anymore. This whole thing is absurd. I bought my Wembley ticket today and I just want to be able to look forward to it.

Looking at their behaviour from the outset of this debacle, I'd bet good money that if they'd had more damning evidence, they would have leaked it through every single media outlet willing to listen.

In reality, it's been quite the opposite with the released info being somewhat over-egged.

In your terms, akin to those videos of Neymar getting brushed and rolling, rolling, rolling etc.

As balance there is one pretty level headed guy who is swimming against the tide by suggesting them losing had nothing to do with the spying and more to do with the fact that they couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo, got on top in the game and then failed to finish us off and said it's what they've been doing game after game. It goes without saying that he is getting pelters from the rest of the knuckle draggers.

Longer this goes on the more I think we could be screwed. If it was points deduction / fine etc it would be out by now. Hope i am wrong

i think the longer this goes on the less we are screwed, as least as it pertains to us playing the final Saturday.

Every day that passes makes it harder to imagine how they could postpone it and/or insert Middlesborough.

re: postponement You cant just say to Wembley - hey how about we play it next Saturday instead. Plus, due to the World Cup, teams must release players by May 30th.

re: inserting Middlesbrough : that would seriously penalize Hull, swapping out the opponent you have been preparing for 3 days before the match.

I always wondered what out man was meant to be taking photos of, in their photo of him his phone is looking straight at the photographer whereas in the maps the pitches are to his right.
