They like an academy player involved for general club marketing though - is Bragg enough? 
I thought O’B-W looked quite physically strong in pre season which is a plus. Maybe they’ll use him as a 5th CM / wide option for the bench and lure him into a long contract?

Take the point but Jay is younger and there is, in theory, more competition in the wide positions.

I’m not sure luring kids into long contracts as 5th option in positions is a particular good luck for a club that insists there is a pathway.

True but if there’s a signing to replace Charles I think I’d be eyeing up elsewhere if I was one of those kids in the CM positions.

A not sure why you would be concerned about that. I would consider it incredibly unlikely that we don't bring in another striker now that Stewart is going elsewhere. Tonda has alluded to it.

Fingers crossed. Adam Blackmore has also suggested that BBD might be given a chance which is concerning, and Downs is clearly being looked at now he’s a year older…

I definitely agree we need a new striker.

We bought him for £10.5m, rising to £15m with add ons. Who knows if we have paid some/all of those add ons, but if we sell for £25.7m, as has been reported today, it will be between £2.65m and £3.8m going to City. 

If he does well for Fulham is value will rise considerably, but I am not sure the club had much choice but to cash in on him at this point if he wouldn't sign a new deal (who could blame him). it's a real shame to lose him and the strength in depth we had in the middle of the park. Will we sign another in that position?

If we are having to juggle the finances a bit, the most important position to fill is CF, he could be the back up CM and if he does well enough this season will help alleviate any loss if (dread to think) promotion is not achieved.

BBD used to lead the line, play with his back to goal etc when he was at Forest and looked half decent. I know Blackburn had him coming off the left side when they had Gallagher up the middle, but did he really play as a winger/midfielder? I guess it matters not. He's going to depart before the window closes isn't he?

If we're going to persist with anyone then surely it will be archer? We are never getting close to our money back for him so might as well see if we can okay him into some form.

Bragg has proven he can do it he was good for an hour V Man City and Arsenal in the cup where he started over Charles plus did well in the championship so you’d think he’d be the 3rd choice CM. I can’t see us spending big money or anyone decent coming here  in a position where we already have 3 decent options so either a loan, cheap signing like we tried with Dan Neill or one of the youngsters stepping up. Priority is a striker, everywhere else we’re pretty well stacked unless anyone leaves

It was certainly interesting that during the weekend friendlies in Münster, Bragg played in the early closed doors run out for the stiffs whereas O'BW lined up for the "first team" alongside Flynn Downes. That doesn't sound like he will be treated as a fringe player this season

But I guess if Tonda's view is that he won't use him much at this point, this could be a really good experience for him if he gets enough game time in Italy. I wonder if this means Edozie is staying as it was really his reintroduction into the squad by Tonda that limited Robinson's chances to get on the pitch so much?
