I'm with you. He seemed to the ideal 1-2 punch with Larin, although having to manage minutes is not ideal. As we well know, it's not easy to recruit talented strikers, especially on a free, so it will be interesting to see what happens in that position. I suspect Downs, Archer and BBD will all depart. We are just waiting for reasonable offers which obviously have not yet materialised.

It assumes Sporting have sold Luis Suarez, but that hasn't happened yet.

Ruling out signing Zan Vipotnik is not negative. He is not signing for another Championship team.

As for the sales mentioned, we need to balance the books and the amount of transfer income required reportedly runs into the tens of millions, that’s on top of the outlay for Latin, Peretz and Dobbin. Any further spending is likely to be on cheaper replacements for the likes of Charles and THB, if they leave.

Remember we have also already signed Larin, Peretz and Dobbin this summer though. And if we are selling Charles and one or more of THB, Scienza and Jander, those players will need to be replaced using the money that comes in. 

I'm sure we will sign a replacement for Stewart, but Vipotnik is surely out of our range as he is Championship top scorer and contracted to Swansea until 2030 I believe. Also, if Swansea do sign Stewart they are getting him for £0, so they can hold out for big money for Vipotnik.

And they've got money to spend. And so much for their ground being a morgue this year. They've sold 50,000 season tickets - more than last year = and their fans will want to see goals.
