gio1saints Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Anybody driving over to Germany? Am considering it with a one night stay.

It’s a lovely town with a very good micro-brewery. The second smallest in Germany we were told. There are copper vats behind the bar and the beer is piped from them overhead to the bar itself. Mind you, this was over thirty years ago. Wolfenbüttel a few miles to the south is also a lovely place.

Normally can walk round ground. You can segregate Eastleigh v Saints anyway as most Eastleigh fans are Saints fans ! Apart from the Eastleigh ultras about 50 of them went will be OK. X5 ultras (think that's the bus route) do cause a lot of trouble at Woking and Aldershot and will have a go at running over netting at home games but that's only normal 5 fans from each side. Most of the fans I've seen being ejected from ground was because they were driving cans of beer in stand and 15 year old. The Eastleigh lot were at Northan st Marys Norway v England last night if anyone noticed ! Edited July 12 by die Mannyschaft

Neil Posted Thursday at 14:25 Posted Thursday at 14:25 Is there a live stream of Eastleigh-Saints? Looking forward to seeing who Saints have playing, even if a different XI for each half.

There has been for the last 2/3 years, but they do tend to only announce it at a late stage to avoid it detracting from Eastleigh's ticket sales 1

Guessing that must've at least partly been a response to last year's obscenely hot game with fans collapsing and the stadium running out of water for fans

JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted Friday at 21:18 Posted Friday at 21:18 Has anyone got tickets through the new app yet? Mine aren't showing yet.
ecuk268 Posted Friday at 22:29 Posted Friday at 22:29 My grandson was due to play in a tournament at Stoneham FC tomorrow. Just been informed that it's been cancelled due to water supply problems in Stoneham Lane, so no toilets etc. Don't know if this will affect the Saints game in the evening.

Fun fact... Even in competitive fixtures, Portsmouth have failed to beat any team from Aldershot in nearly 50 years. And they bang on about us somehow being in their shadow... https://www.11v11.com/teams/portsmouth/tab/opposingTeams/opposition/Aldershot/ https://www.11v11.com/teams/portsmouth/tab/opposingTeams/opposition/Aldershot Town/
Football Special Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago This feels like the most low-key pre season we've ever had. A kick around with Eastleigh to loosen up after the summer break then a couple of lower league German clubs I guess for us the main thing to focus on is fitness, no change in manager or core set of players so everyone already knows the plan , they'll approach the Colchester game like a friendly as well

I dare say there will probably be a behind closed door game, or back to back games organised against a localish Prem side as we’ve done in recent years. Shame we didn’t organise something with Valenciennes seeing as they’re in town, could have had a Saints XI play them at Eastleigh.
skintsaint Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Think as someone aluded to before the Colchester game might be treated as another run out before the league season starts. 1
