West Ham starting to purr. They have some players who looked decent in the PL, to be fair. Makes it hard if there's already one promotion spot likely going their way.

West Ham will likely win the league and it’ll be between ourselves, Wolves, Boro, WBA, Norwich and Millwall for the other two spots.

wonder if this could be the end for Phil Parkinson. They’ve had a slow start when expectations are probably to progress on what they did last year. Taking a pasting live on Sky definitely not going to help.

No surprise that West Ham are getting into their stride. Was always going to be the case, their squad is stacked with talent, and they have an excellent manager.

However, there's another team that can say that. They are starting to click as well.

Wolves will be joining them in the top 2. Both miles ahead of us and the rest imho. I think either us or Boro finish 3rd. Then you gots the playoff lottery. Us v Boro would make for a decent final.

Wolves are a basket case of a club.

West Ham too, but they have enough talent.

Wrexham are the darlings of the media, but are shit.

Boro are on the redemption arc that everyone is rooting for but will come short.

We’ll finish top two.

Forget autos, beating Boro in the playoff final would be the dream option for most of us.

We were reminded by the commentator that WHU were relegated with 39 points. Most seasons that would have kept them in the PL. They have been able to hang on to their quality players so barring a string of serious injuries it's hard to see who will be able to stop them. We had our own early warning of their potential in the Carabao Cup.

Some are suggesting that Wrexham were poor tonight so the scoreline flattered WHU, the reality is that the home side outclassed them in every area of the pitch and demoralised the visitors. With nearly 60k fans cheering on the Hammers it's no surprise that they threw in the towel after the third goal went in. 

WHU top the league tonight, if they are still there after the weekend it may be the case that they run away with it. Finn Azaz claimed that we are the best team in the league, those words might come back to haunt him.

Yep, West Ham should go up with what they have but it's a long season and you never know in the Championship. If anything, hopefully Tonda can use that result as motivation for our players as that is the standard we are competing with now.

They’re in a decent spot of form, but their fixtures have looked relatively kind when you look at how the season is playing out. Wolves aside, they haven’t beaten anyone who’s looking any good. Bolton, Derby and Wrexham at home should be bankers anyway. They drew at Watford and looked shit, lost at home to Charlton, choked a 2-0 lead at Burnley. 
 

They’ve got Millwall away next, QPR after that, a trip to Swansea and us and WBA coming up soon, we’ll know a lot more about them after that.

That's why this league is so wonderful, no matter the pedigree, every one of the fancied sides will get an unexpected spanking or two.

Absolutely no one can relax. Saints just have to keep their form going.

Wrexham won't be a Premier League club within the next 10 years. By which point, the fanfare will be gone and there'll be no docuseries. I wouldn't be surprised if they're under different ownership. I think they're more likely to get relegated in that period.

Spam are up and running. I was hoping they'd stumble till October but they are already in the groove.

Right now is when the leading pack break away and we need to be amongst them.

We should all be west ham fans this season, the more they win, the more points they take from our actual competition.  We absolutely could or maybe should, take second place.

Boro are a flash in the pan, their form will drop off and they'll finish 8-10th.

Wolves are the only other team to worry about but they are flawed, can see them 3rd or 4th.

Agreed.

All the fanfare and media love in has done is show they have money to spend.

The calibre of player that has gone there was in my opinion of decent quality and Premier League ambition and they’ve sold that ambition for a quick payday because Wrexham can out blow more established clubs in terms of wages.

This will die out over the years as they spend tens of millions on unambitious players and they will only further slump.
You’re telling me that Broadhead or Doyle went to Wrexham for “footballing reasons” - lol!

Reminds me of QPR, or Ahnzi Mackakala (Russian team that pissed away millions), etc.

West Ham have an immense amount of squad depth.

I think we can easily compete with them, for us though it depends on a players form and how up for it they are.

My concern with us is over the course of the season we don’t have enough game changers off the bench.

Time will tell whether it’s needed, but we should be more than able to compete.

They are better than us and will finish comfortably head of Saints in the table, irrespective of the -4

I don't like Hull, but I like what they are doing. 

Well run teams (no matter how fluky) coming up from the Championship should be troubling the elite. There shouldn't be a stigma attached to promotion like there has been in the last few years.
