Fatality in the Kingsland stand today

So that is what the ambulance was all about just before kick-off? Terrible!

Mentioned on the post match thread, but an oldish fella collapsed just before the start of the game and looked in a very bad way.

They were working feverishly on him as they took him out on a stretcher. Fair play to all involved as they were working their bollocx off to try and save him. Haven't heard whether he pulled through or not, so fingers crossed.

RIP fella, All saints go to heaven .

I saw the ambulance arrived and could see it from the Northam stand under the itchen concourse well into the first half.

I have been going to the match man and boy since 1979, maybe we have stood together, had a pint, had a moan, had a shout ,??? who knows and who would ever know.

Goodnight and god bless fellow saint J...

Deeply sorry for the young lad re his dad.

I was sat in the Chapel stand and say the poor chap being taken to the ambulance. Why was it not possible to take him out to the ambulance by the shortest route, instead of wheeling the poor chap past all those sat in the Kingsland? Could the ambulance not have been driven to a gate in the Kingsland?

Dreadful to hear. Saw them take someone away from my vantage point in the family stand before the game. It never crosses your mind that it may be something that terrible you are witnessing.

Condolences to the family. If the 18 year old is a forum user and reading this thread we are all thinking of you.

Yes. Saw the queues and dived off through Chandlers Ford before continuing on. Saw the lights from the north Eastleigh junction of the M3. Not the best day.

RIP fellow Kingslander and condolences to his son and family.

As a 49 year old with my 17 year son, a bit close to home.

The accident on the M3 closed all 3 lanes and we had to pass on the hard shoulder. The roof and window supports were sawn off the car and it had a 'screen' over it. Looked grim. Hopefully not another Saints casualty.
