Walsall sold out

I'm stuck in the family area because I didn't know it was the family area, and I don't care one iota - just to be there to celebrate will be amazing.

Snap! I though the family area was in the Chapel. Oops. Hope parents wont mind if the odd four-letter word slips out!

FFS, so I can't go because all the glory hunters are back?! Really need to get 2 tickets to this one, anyone know any going spare? Is it really sold out? Can't get through on phone til Monday now and can't book online.

What about the away end? They can't be bringing many, did they sell out their allocation?

Bit harsh. It was prob a good idea to book this game in advance as it's always looked like going to the last day.

It's not harsh, I know I should have booked already but been away, thought today or Monday would be fine. I'm not annoyed people want to go, I'm annoyed that I've sat with 10000 empty seats around me most times I've gone. I'm sure it's not people on here, but we have about 20000 fans that only want to come to special occasions!

Against Hartlepool on Monday I noticed quite a few young ladies at the game who didn't seem to have much interest in the game. I haven't seen them around the Kingsland before, and I ALWAYS eye up the crumpet. :-)

Success breeds support. We sold out in the Premiership most games, and yet attract average crowds of around 20,000 now. Next season, if we go up, I expect we'll sell out a few more games. So buy early, there will always be people who only come when we successful - glory hunters are why Man Utd have so many fans all over the world.

Selling out is good for the clubs' finances. I wish I could buy a season ticket but with the shift work I do, it's not worth my while, so I always make sure I buy my tickets early for the games I can get to.

I am actually a little concerned that the game has sold out so early. I hope people are not just assuming that it will be a party. I rather suspect we will be held to a draw on Monday so we will still need to win against Walsall. The last thing we need is an expectant crowd getting impatient. We have seen it before with full houses. The whole crowd need to get behind the team and support them.

This is a slightly pessimistic view I know but this is too important for the glory hunters to come with unrealsitic expectations of a goal feast.

A draw won't do Plymouth any good, they'll have to go for bust.I'd say that there is absolutely no chance whatsoever of Monday's game ending in a draw.

I've just had a look at the Walsall Forum and as of 5pm today they've sold 240 tickets and theres a thread on their forum saying Saints are reducing their allocation. They expect to bring around 1700.

I'm just going to have to tell my little girl we can't go to the game as the Family area is full of others, (more deserving) supporters.

I was to have been working but have oved contracts so my weekend is now free.

******.

Actually, when I booked my tickets, plenty of time in advance of the game, I could've sat in quite a few places. My usual choice of the Kingsland was sold out, so I chose the Kingsland/Chapel corner. Getting the family stand was, as I've stated, a complete accident as I thought it was still located in the Chapel.

More deserving? Perhaps not, but with the shift work I do, only getting to 12 games this season is as good as I can do. Sorry.

This game has been on sale for months, it is the last home game of the season which are always well attended! It has also coincided with the possibility of Saints being promoted. Why is it surprising people that it has sold out?

Last season's final home game when we had nothing to play for sold 25,289 even though it was a League One dead rubber match. This season we are on the verge of promotion, so it was bound to sell quickly.

Tickets have been on sale for ages. If you're not organised and don't have the brains to know this game would sell out that's your fault.

I'm just amazed someone without a season ticket has had the nerve to call other fans glory hunters, whatever next. I assume if you can't get a ticket Adrian, you'll stand outside the ground next Saturday and wave your previous match tickets at people ;)

Apparently sold their original batch of 500 and expect a second allocation of 1200 to be available from Tuesday.

Well that's done it. I'm off to the bookies as this is now guaranteed to be a draw, I actually think it will be as both teams will go for it and cancel each other out.. I should add I'm almost always wrong!

I expect most of the "glory hunters" are fans like myself that can't get to home games often for one reason or another, but do go now and again. A lot of these "glory hunters" probably live a fair distance from St Marys and do a lot of away games.

The Wallsall game is a big game so it's bound to attract all the occasional fans in one go, but they're not "glory hunters" - they are Saints fans. If they were "glory hunters" they'd support Man Utd.

I am also in the Family section on Saturday. However, I was there for the P*mpey FA Cup game last season and there were more than a few curses echoing round so I wouldn't worry too much about being polite!

Corky, Hasper and I have season tickets in the Chapel with our kids. The language is as blue as elsewhere in the ground.

By definition, doesn't that make you even worse than a glory hunter ?

The Walsall game is the only home game that I can't go to this season. I'm giving my season ticket to my brother. I have something on to do with my visa application that needs to be done all day on saturday. I always seem to miss out on this celebration games. I missed out on the Survival game against Sheffield United as a broke both legs in a car crash two days before. I've had my fair share of fun for the season and it will be my brothers fifth game of the season so i'm more than happy to let him use it. I just hope that it all but over after a good win against plymouth
