Rory went on to become a long-throw legend at Stoke after leaving Saints.

But despite our repeated bids to sign him, Liam has never played for us.

Oh yes he went to Ipswich ! Oops 😄

Liam Delap not clicked at Chelsea after big money move, but one of those players I think would do well at Saints, a good fit for player and club. Gut feeling, but seldom wrong.

He might be suffering from Chelsea's system but no one in the team know what it is ! He seems slow to react from what I see on Motd but perhaps if he had a defines role to work on he could come good .

Another relegation for Jame Ward-Prowse, but he actually started this evening for a change.

He has started in all Burnley games since early March.

BBC have an article about Dibling and his prospects

I just read that. Obviously a piece by Everton and England u21 to be a booster but when the manager is saying his training and approach needs to be better, that’s a red flag. Possible he settles better in the NW next year. Shows you how low the standards were bar Fernandes and Ramsdale last season,

They suggested Moyes was going to give him his chance once Dibling took on board what Moyes wanted him to do and that a full pre season might do that . I remain unconvinced that a free spirit , as they call him , is likely to conform . He's similar to MLT in that regard ................................

Take him back! He should be relegated, under Burley or Hammers.

Surely it will be double relegation with club currently playing for and parent club both going down. I wonder if that has ever happened before…..? If wham do actually go down, it will mean two other defectors suffering consecutive relegations……

Some of those Moyes quotes were from an article earlier in the season. There, without Osman's positivity around them, it was a stark warning to Dibling to improve, or get left behind. Moyes was saying that having the club bring in a loan player ahead of you, should be a massive warning. And that Dibling should be asking a lot of questions about where he had to improve.

I thought we got a good deal for him. £35million to invest elsewhere. His post Martin form wasn't great, and he wasn't having an impact.

Obviously, it's ridiculously competitive in the PL. Not just in physical and mental resilience. But in learning, adapting and fitting into a new environment, coaching, and set of demands. Often against where your strengths lie.

He was at a young age in our first team, and still is trying to settle at Everton. There's no guarantee his all round game will meet Moyes' requirements. He just has to learn, and develop as much as he can. It can only benefit him, even if his future isn't at Everton.

Fernandes, JWP and KWP clocking up the relegations on their CV. Still behind Ramsdale though.

Nuno now becoming a bit of a serial failure as manager as well (Spurs, Forest, West Ham). Seems only a while ago he was ‘hot property’ at Wolves.

JWP, having played for West Ham before his loan to Burnley, could be part of 2 relegated squads this season.

I think call f him a failure at Forest is unfair, he took them to Europe, their psychotic control freak owner brought in a new director of football Edu Gasper and he and Nuno had fundamental differences about the types of players that should be brought in.

Nuno wanted players he could trust like Adama Traoré, he was given crocks of shit.

Edu Gasper has since left.

Obviously not a failure at Forest at any level on any measure.

Tyler Dibling’s career could easily go the way of Saido Berahino.

Overhyped from a very young age, thought he was better than he was, didn’t apply himself and then ended up at the wrong clubs.

I hope it doesn’t go that way, but that’s a year pissed away now.

Next year will be a big one, and on show from when he was with us he showed flashes of brilliance but never enough to show he should be starting Premier League games regularly.

Can see him being loaned out.

From what I saw on Motd West Ham were unlucky,  hit the post twice and the crossbar , ok they lost but it wasn't  one sided .

Fair point.

Although towards the end he seemed sufficiently pissed off with it, quite understandably with the owner, and gave some interviews that were going to inflame the situation further and only lead one way.

He was done as soon as Edu came in, I think I’d be pissed off too.

It’s a bit like BlueCo. at Chelsea. They’re an absolute basket case of a club.

They won’t win anything for years until the have some stability.
