Another supremely brave point for Russell Martin.

The franchise just sat back, asked them what they had. Couldn't break through.

There was a lot to like about that performance and a lot to learn. The players trained so well this week and everyone is bought into what we're trying to do here but it was always going to take time.

Another masterclass today.

76% possession 😂 an hour and eight minutes with the ball in possession and couldn't score a goal.

25% v 75%

a brilliant result

A flashback to a golden era for MK fans and concrete 🐄

Never mind goals, just wow at that 75% possession and 1,800 passes between the keeper and centre backs.

I read somewhere that since gaining promotion with us, he has won TWO competetive matches.

And they were so so brave wins

Didn’t see it but I’m guessing he was so so proud of the boys, for trusting the process and running hard all game, always looking for solutions. The wins will come

Why are we still talking about Martin…

… And why am I still reading it?

No club in their right mind would employ Martin once he’s sacked at Leicester. The guy wants to play like Barcelona in the time when they had Messi, Iniesta, Xavi etc, but forgets he doesn’t have those kind of players.

Some Leicester fans on Foxestalk supporting him, saying they're playing good football but his transfers have been questionable.

They'll get there, just as the Bolton fans will get there with Baz.

This is why I do post on this thread.

It's the thriller like tension: Will his process work before his time runs out? 🙂

No. No it won’t.

😂

Easiest question ever!

But...but...surely this time?! He's learned so much. His teams are so brave. He's so close to those transitions working.

Almost as deluded as he is in thinking his tactics work 😉😂

Heard his interview on Sports Report today still spinning the same old shite. They are doing all the right things, just need to put the ball in the net blah blah blah. He will still do alright there and may get them up, but not in the convincing way they should go up. Sounds all to familiar?

Just the 77% possession today!

League games, yep.

Since August 2024 he’s managed more clubs (three) than he’s won league fixtures (two).

But people just need to trust the process. The results will come.

I don't think they go up with him in charge. I think he'll be gone, not as quickly as he was at Rangers, but still pretty early.

Fucking hell, 2 wins in 2 years with 3 clubs.

Classic Russ, blame the last 3-4 years. Blame MK for not letting then score....

That damn scar tissue again. Because it couldn’t possibly be anything to do with him, could it?

Two points from three games (including against two promoted sides that were in League Two last season), no wins and currently only outside the League One relegation zone on goal difference.

Still, apparently they’re going to “control their energy inside the building”, so I’m sure it will all be fine.

I’d take that over a crude and artless 5-1 win.

53% for us yesterday. Pathetic.

It's not a thriller, it's a disaster movie... Part 3 in fact... And we're all watching to see how it all unfolds 🤣

Don't forget "MK Dons" are going to be right up there at the end of the season. In fact it's hard to imagine a manager that could've got such a dominant performance out of this group of players against this quality of opposition. They trained so well this week and ran for each other. Plus he mentioned at least 6 of them with "ee" on the end of their names which just shows the unbreakable bonds of brotherhood that are being forged at the club.

For the record - if they slip into the relegation zone midweek he'll calmly explain that things are always tough while the transfer window is open and they will settle down now players will be fully committed to the club. The bearded excuse monkey can do no wrong.
