It was suggested the fee was nominal so we didn’t have to pay them that much, maybe the taxi fees?

I watched the game and he was superb. Literally from the opening few mins, and he comfortably kept Bolton in the game...they were shite.

He has never played like that for us. Never.

I only saw the highlights, 3 of the saves were ones you’d expect him to make decent but almost straight at him, one save was excellent though. Can’t comment on the rest of the game but you’d think he’s going to be busy this season

Don’t think this is really relevant in a Saints context tbh…any decision to boycott or not play will be taken on a collective basis and involve levels in the Irish FA above the heads of two individual players.

It’s being directly instigated by the players, the Irish FA want the game to proceed. If it doesn’t, it will be directly down to a number of individual players refusing to play and convincing the whole squad to also withdraw and not play.

Yep fair play to Bazunu and excellent statement from him. Given Ireland will refuse to shake hands with the Israeli’s  I disagree that it’s not relevant to the club. Hopefully Peretz will see the bigger picture and suck it up and hopefully neither Azaz or Manning are the ones speculated to be in dispute with Bazunu.

That UEFA would allow such a divisive situation in the first place is a disgrace.

Can only respect Baz for his standpoint. Would be massively surprised if it was Azaz turning on him, an educated man. (Even given his shared heritage.)

You think he actually wrote that statement?  “My decision is based purely upon my personal belief that the killing of innocent people is wrong” - what a guy doesn’t believe in the killing of innocent people - imagine having that personal belief?

Anyway sure he will get amazing gratitude on his social media and people love someone who is brave enough to take an unpopular stance of not wanting innocent people killed.
