Suspect the Swansea move is made up BS personally...  The guy who tweeted it is pretty unreliable, and usually you'd get a better source (like Romano) verifying it quite quickly afterwards

I do wonder if Stewart was the player who allegedly kicked off once we were kicked out the final. That was his chance to get the year extension and get to play in the Prem, to show he could cut it at that level and prove himself. Also, with fewer games and arguably a less physical demanding league, proven that he could have coped in the Prem. Would have set him up nicely to get that one last big contract. Instead he’s off to Swansea.

If he stays healthy it's a cracking signing for them, when fit he was great.

Was kinda hoping we might have kept him but if a player wants out there's no point keeping them against their will. Best of luck to Ross.

Doubtful Tonda would have still been in regular contact with him if it was.

I didn't say it was bad necessarily. I think many people were angry in the aftermath of what happened. Given he's a bit olfer than others Scienza may have viewed it as robbing him of potentially his last chance to play English top flight football.

He even admitted in a recent interview he was very emotional in the aftermath and needed a few days to calm down.

He is clearly desperate to play in the Premier League and no doubt would've loved to do it with us.

Can’t argue with that, either from Ross’ POV or ours, it makes sense why he’s gone. Three years is a big risk for Swansea though, given his fitness record.

Fair enough. Footballers have short careers and he has to look after himself. Excellent player when fit but that is the issue with him. I’d rather we had someone up top not prone to long term absences.

Not that I'd have wanted us to match Swansea's 3 year contract, but there we have a direct impact of the FA's dithering over the sanction process. (Maybe he'd have settled for a 2 year contract with us if the uncertainty over Eckert wasn't a factor).

I think the Tonda bit is an excuse to be honest. Christ if the guy is fit he's a top top srtiker in this league, no manager with a brain isnt gonna play him if he's fit and ready.
