bugenhagen Posted September 1 Posted September 1 The date at the bottom saus Friday morning, so it is before Fernandes out, and the trio in. 3

Not known but I suspect it'll be a slow burner and gradual, THB? If West Ham put enough on the table take it, he's not all that either, we need a 30 year old carthorse who bullies, shouts, fouls and takes yellows for the team. None of the above can do that, they're not leaders, scrappers or fighters. Chancers? Yes, scrappers no. Sounds like we need a 1980s style warrior at the back. Preferably called Keith or Derek. He must have a moustache and like steak n chips with lager Not one of those gaylords we currently have. A REAL MAN. 2 7

Lighthouse Posted September 1 Posted September 1 It really is astonishing that we’re signing better players for a championship campaign than we did for the PL a year ago. 4 3

Possibly Edozie tbc, possibly Smallbone. Ins - Long, Jander, Mads, Jelert, Fellows, Scienza, Quarshie, Downs, Azaz That is mental. 2

Colinjb Posted September 1 Posted September 1 7 minutes ago, Lighthouse said: It really is astonishing that we’re signing better players for a championship campaign than we did for the PL a year ago. We were running to stand still last summer. Not enough money to spend because of prior excesses, loan players we wanted to keep and deadwood we needed to shift. It finally feels like the massive overhaul we have needed for a long time is happening. Still massive decisions to make though.

Pat from Poole Posted September 1 Posted September 1 (edited) Just heard that while the transfer window SLAMS SHUT at 7pm for the Prem, it actually SLAMS SHUT at 11pm for the EFL. So another 4 hours of excitement. I knew it was worth getting relegated. Edit - might be wrong about that actually..... Edited September 1 by Pat from Poole 1

Think we need to wait before making a judgement. Our 2 summer signings made before the season started (Downs and Quarshie) have both made little to no impact (both have in fact been benched already). Suggest we wait and see how the other signings turn out before heaping too much praise on spors and co.

SNSUN Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Bree and Taylor out is not unexpected but with Welington out, we're a FB light unless we bring in another or again we could be in a square peg/round hole situation. Scienza coming is a bonus to our creativity. Edwards leaving would disappoint me, however he's started this season. 4 CBS is enough for a 2 CB system though. Overall I can't see us upgrading the strikers or the GK so we're stuck with them - my only greedy "want" would be another CM but I think that only happens if we offload Aribo and Smallbone - and that could happen after our window closes. I think we've done excellent business in the last week, improved our attacking creativity no end. Now we hope they click.
