Stephens isn't anywhere near good enough,Ronnie Edwards does not inspire at all, Quarshie? Not known but I suspect it'll be a slow burner and gradual, THB? If West Ham put enough on the table take it, he's not all that either, we need a 30 year old carthorse who bullies, shouts, fouls and takes yellows for the team. None of the above can do that, they're not leaders, scrappers or fighters.

Chancers? Yes, scrappers no.

Sounds like we need a 1980s style warrior at the back.

Preferably called Keith or Derek. He must have a moustache and like steak n chips with lager

Not one of those gaylords we currently have. A REAL MAN.

Very underrated and maligned player IMO

Yes, a decent player, but with his contract running down, it’s only fitting he be reunited with Jones at the Valley - even if it isn’t a Welsh valley.

Owns a scrap yard?

Wife called Doreen?

Every Saturday morning:

3 sausage, 3 bacon, 2 eggs, 4 toast, fried bread, beans, mushrooms, black pudding, chips.

Owns a leotard.

Big bush. Large droopy bellend.

Him?

I think we need a CB with a nickname like Ron “Chopper” Harris. Just so they know who they're messing with.

I know he's young, but I'm not a huge fan of Edwards. Been pretty poor for us in my opinion.

If his potential is legitimate, perhaps another loan out to QPR would do him good?

If he goes, makes it so much more likely we’re going to a back four which is a relief.

It really is astonishing that we’re signing better players for a championship campaign than we did for the PL a year ago.

True enough.   Different, better decision makers.  It’s been a long time coming.

Outs - Dibling, Fernandes, BBD, Ramsdale, Taylor, Bree, Taylor, Lumley, Sulemana, Onachu, probably Aribo next week, Lallana retiring, Lesley, Gronbaek, Sugawara, KWP, Larios, ABK, SAA, Bednarek. Possibly Edozie tbc, possibly Smallbone.

Ins - Long, Jander, Mads, Jelert, Fellows, Scienza, Quarshie, Downs, Azaz

That is mental.

Very true. Our prem recruitment was so second rate it was untrue.

John Lewis would be an insane signing.

Plus you could send him back and get a full refund no questions asked if you weren't completely satisfied with him

We were running to stand still last summer. Not enough money to spend because of prior excesses, loan players we wanted to keep and deadwood we needed to shift.

It finally feels like the massive overhaul we have needed for a long time is happening. Still massive decisions to make though.

Just heard that while the transfer window SLAMS SHUT at 7pm for the Prem, it actually SLAMS SHUT at 11pm for the EFL.

So another 4 hours of excitement.

I knew it was worth getting relegated.

Edit - might be wrong about that actually.....

Thanks `- very enlightening

It really isn’t,  see other comments that have totally discredited it.  We spent more on one day, Friday, than Sky think we have all summer,  it’s bollocks

Apparently Scotland slams shut at 11pm so plenty of time to ship some of Russ' mates to Rangers

Think we need to wait before making a judgement. Our 2 summer signings made before the season started (Downs and Quarshie) have both made little to no impact (both have in fact been benched already). Suggest we wait and see how the other signings turn out before heaping too much praise on spors and co.

Without exaggeration that is the most inaccurate table in Christendom

To be fair to Sky, I think you'll find it's been expert audited and verified by Paul Merson and Chris Kamara.

Bree and Taylor out is not unexpected but with Welington out, we're a FB light unless we bring in another or again we could be in a square peg/round hole situation.

Scienza coming is a bonus to our creativity.

Edwards leaving would disappoint me, however he's started this season. 4 CBS is enough for a 2 CB system though.

Overall I can't see us upgrading the strikers or the GK so we're stuck with them - my only greedy "want" would be another CM but I think that only happens if we offload Aribo and Smallbone - and that could happen after our window closes.

I think we've done excellent business in the last week, improved our attacking creativity no end. Now we hope they click.

That is a random X user with only 290 followers pretending to be a journalist. QPR do want Edwards it seems based on media reports, but the account you used is just making numbers up.
