Convict Colony Posted Sunday at 17:02 Posted Sunday at 17:02 First off its alan nixon basically lies every week, he's a figure of fun everytime he spouts a transfer related story. Secondly i could not give a flying fuck if the players like the manager, they should be fearful of the manager, the problem with martin is they all liked him but played fucking shit still. It would be transparent about the motives of this coming out when Stephens has been dropped but i dont think it is us, i think its a nonsense story to get clicks by nixon. 9
Wade Garrett Posted Sunday at 17:16 Posted Sunday at 17:16 Hypothetically, if that was us and I was Solak, I would tell Stephens to fuck right off. 13

They told us that Captain Jack was such a team player when they extended him. So surely it can't be us.

Matching that SR have no credit in the bank for the football players they have bought to give us the performances for which they have no credit. 🙂 1

The club haven’t had a great start and the squad fear results will get worse." If this is us and stephens then they are even more stupid than i give them credit for, THB and Stephens are one of the main reasons we have not had a good start with their giving the ball away or all round shit defending. 9 1

And if results don’t improve up to the international break appoint Sean Dyche as Still’s replacement. Get some proper shuttle runs and fortune telling in the Capt Jack and Hardwood Beliis schedule!! 😊

Holmes_and_Watson Posted Sunday at 19:36 Posted Sunday at 19:36 In breaking news, I heard that a manager of one Championship club, thinks their players could be doing a bit better. 1
Yorkshire Saint Posted Sunday at 19:36 Posted Sunday at 19:36 It is clearly aimed at Saints. It is obviously St Mary's and you can see the Puma images too. Assume it is click bait but after the performance against the Skates and the tigers I could understand if it wasn't. Rohl was always first choice and if we lose two this week I wouldn't be surprised if something changed. Regardless if I think this is right or wrong.

Still has been largely shite to be fair. 1
Harry_SFC Posted Sunday at 19:41 Posted Sunday at 19:41 It's probably because he made them run hard in pre season and he's rightly dropped a number of the players who have constantly let us down. Lets build the team around the new guys. 4
die Mannyschaft Posted Sunday at 20:15 Posted Sunday at 20:15 Saints 250/1 for relegation that's more of a concern. How have they come up with that.
Yorkshire Saint Posted Sunday at 20:23 Posted Sunday at 20:23 Still 2/1 favourite to be next championship manager sacked. Danny Rohl 2/1 favourite as next Saints manager. (Ralph second favourite at 4/1)
CB Fry Posted Sunday at 20:40 Posted Sunday at 20:40 1 hour ago, Yorkshire Saint said: It is clearly aimed at Saints. It is obviously St Mary's and you can see the Puma images too. You know that the twitter account who put that image up is not Alan Nixon who they are linking the story to. The person who chose the image has no connection whatsoever with the source of the story. 5

Hiring, then sacking Juric and Still will have cost us significantly more than £6m. Pay cheap pay twice. At some point SR will work that one out. 1

Irrespective of whether it should have been Rohl or not, the fact we won't pay for a manager we want, as opposed to one who is conveniently available, is even more ridiculous when you think of how much has been wasted on player recruitment.
Miltonaggro Posted Monday at 09:10 Posted Monday at 09:10 One thing I got from the Still documentary videos and past record when he was confirmed as joining us was that he keeps a professional distance from the players, and not afraid to drop non-performers regardless of seniority. Tight ship and squad as a unit in terms of performance. Saw that as a big positive of his appointment after the previous quartet who seemed either frightened or unbothered to change things around. I get the impression that Still doesn't enjoy the media stuff, but is at least honest when responding to questions. Admirable if it turns out that whilst knowing that this is a big job / chance for him, he is sticking to core principles. We are desperate for a convincing league win, but I really hope he gets it whilst leaving out the Sport Republic 'boy band' that has undermined us in recent years. 9

Danny Rohl the manager of skint, bottom half relegation threatened Sheffield Wednesday was not some super Premium elite manager we couldn’t afford. Would have been a stupid appointment for a bottom placed Premier League club to make as he had nothing to suggest he could get us out of it. Juric was a far more prestigious appointment and currently challenging the top of Serie A, better than anything Rohl has ever done. 2

I think he was given an impossible job and I don't think it was on him (Other than playing Aribo at CB). That being said, he clearly wasn't our first choice. My point was more aimed towards Still - but appreciate that didn't come across in my comment. 1

DT Posted Monday at 13:35 Posted Monday at 13:35 It really does feel like us and something that Jack Stephens would do. Then again, so would I as Still has been very below par and should never have been appointed. Or Stephens given a new contract. So terrible all round from SR. Standard. 2
saintwbu Posted Monday at 13:45 Posted Monday at 13:45 Weird how many people have decided Jack Stephens is some evil genius turning the players against the manager because he got dropped, just because they don’t think he’s a good footballer. Absolutely nothing in his entire time here to suggest he is not a good pro, whether you rate him as a player or not. The article probably isn’t about us, otherwise Alfie House etc would be all over it. 6

They also highlight how much we’ve spent while conveniently ignoring we sold two of our best players for massive money. If it was any other club, they’d be a lot more positive. An insufferable listen.

If you listen to the podcast, Charlie Austin doesn’t have a good word to say about most of the people he played under. He must’ve just been very unlucky to always end up in that position!
