This is bittersweet. Who does not love Wee Man?

Objectively speaking though, this guy has to get the nod at LW and Ryan, frankly, for the level of club it seems we are aspiring to, should be a squad player not a starter. Still bittersweet though.

49 goals and 47 assists from left wing in 154 appearances, looks very good on the face of it.

Looking at his stats the majority of these are in the German 3rd and 4th tier though.

I'm not passing judgement as I know nothing about him so cant pass comment if he is decent or not.

Christ. We don't seem to be fucking about.

We must have had a shortlist ready to go once the fund became available.

Videoes never tell the whole story and hope both Sceinza and Fellows (and Aziz) are decent against the ball.

What we need is a Lambert/Pelle/Ron Davies in the box to convert the wingers exploits.

Step forward, if you will, Ross Stewart (please!!)

Where did you get those stats from please?

The Club Brugge striker managed those figures in the first half alone last night. 😆

Same here. I'll give him five minutes of playing before I start writing him off.

Pretty sure that's Santa Clause, mate

Santa wears a Speedo. Which sounds a bit like, but should not be confused with, Santa is a Paedo.

Ok I'm on the Stellas

Him and Wellington down the left side? A full Brazilian

They'd certainly tear a strip off a few defenders.

that's the video I watched and made me pretty excited. However, it was tapered by the fact the goals are pretty much all scored in the lower leagues and he was largely on their bench last season. His highlights are great, but seemingly not good enough for him to start games, all be it in the German top flight.

Whose winning the battle of the gossip mongers ? Fabrizo says close to a deal and Florian says far apart.

Fabrizio is the gold standard. But, did he say "here we go"?

This player who is similar, CHDAJFU?

He's scored 25 goals in the last two seasons for Copenhagen. #Justsayin

This fella seems to be a bit of a late bloomer in terms of his career, not much going on in his younger years. He's blossomed in recent years though, looks like a proven Bundlesliga performer to me. Absolutely no brainer if the fee is right, will be well known to our scout and DOF.

Interesting that Fabrizio's original tweet yesterday said that personal terms had already been agreed and it was the fee that was being negotiated. Who to believe, eh?

Well good point cos we've had 4 different versions so far -

Personal terms agreed

Saints low offer not accepted

Alfie House intimating we have to lose Edozie or Aribo first

Personal terms not discussed

In other words believe nothing until he's announced or its dead in the water.

We were first linked with him quite a while ago now. I am pretty sure the time between then and now will have been spent agreeing personal terms if, and its more likely, we hadn't agreed them before we first approached his club with an offer.

8 grand is a proper bargain 😉

We will have firstly approached his agent to ask if he fancied the move and discussed personal terms at that point. We will then have made an approach and offer to his club, which will have been low, and probably turned down. This will all be in anticipation of Edozie departing, which now seems very close, hence an improved offer will have gone in and now we wait for Edozie deal to happen and this deal to conclude. Anything could happen from here of course. Simples.

Seems quite a high fee for a guy they don't ever start. I'm speaking in relative terms of course.

His contract is up in 2027 so they want to sell him this window.

Surely personal terms are done at this point. Just need to meet in the middle on the fee.

Interesting to note that last year 3 free kicks made you the best in Europe; yet JWP scored 4,4, and 3 in his three last PL seasons with us. Hasn't scored one since...

JWP is waiting to come back to us as an old man, ala Lallana, when we return to the PL. Then, and only then, will he break the PL free kick record.
