Cant waste any time. This guy has no fucking idea what he’s doing. Absolute shambles again.

5 months more like.

Fucking wankers have ruined this club. I’d rather have Gao back in charge than these frauds.

Carrick was supposedly high on the Rasmus list a couple of years ago (before we appointed Lego).

Although we’re told Rasmus is hands off.

Rohl would have been my choice in the summer, although he didn’t do himself any favours with his interviews etc at the end of last season and summer.

But what people are ignoring is that this is SR - we wouldn't go and appoint a common sense person like Carrick or Rohl, we'd pivot to someone else who'd make us even worse.

It's better for us and the club if we give Still a chance to form a side, we can't go pissing more manager compo up the wall only for SR to go and pick a worse guy.

It will be a 30yr old we've never heard of, perhaps from the Slovenian 2nd division or somewhere like that - and I think we'll go back to facial hair this time as well.  He'll also be 'highly regarded' by 'European' journalists of course.

Oh, and he'll agree in the contract to play Baz.

We have some good players who are playing far below what they are capable of. Any manager we get in needs to get the players playing at least to an average standard which should be enough to get a hell of a lot more points. Still isn't attacking enough and seemingly can't coach us to have more of a threat.

Rohl would be more of the same.  Another who is probably good at PowerPoints but hasn’t got much to back it up.

He also wouldn’t have his assistant manager with him (current Sheff Weds manager) who according to some of their fans was the brains behind the operation.

Either Carrick or Rohl would be an upgrade on Still IMO. We would make the play offs with either. We will no doubt leave it too late if we do ever make a move though.

Neither, Carrick ultimately failed at Boro and Rohl has all the potential to be another hipster appointment. Time these cheap cunts actually put their hand in their pockets and went and poached a manager with some pedigree already at a club.

Just think the scrambling around for the manager who will save us is starting to feel a bit Groundhog Day to be honest.

There are much deeper problems than the manager, we have consistently declined across five or six of them with wildly different styles and backgrounds. Still may well be out of his depth but what happens when we get Carrick, we get Rohl, we get Potter and we're still mid-table at Christmas? Players come to us having looked good and suddenly they look shit.

There's something in the air, in the culture of the club. It's a culture of losing, being scared, not knowing what to do. People at the club in recent years, both playing and non-playing staff, have seen no end to the embarrassment that has forged this culture since the turn of the decade and continues to infest us. I don't know if that gets fixed easily in the short-term.

But we were assured Rohl was the brains behind Ralph. How many layers deep does this go?!

Is football being run by three kids in a trenchcoat? Because it would explain a LOT of the tactics.

While I'm not advocating a change of manager just yet, if we do go down the managerial sacking route I'd be interested in Sean Dyche. We like a ginger manager and he'd at least sort the defence out.

We could stop giving them new contracts and also get rid of hangers on like Lallana.

That's definitely part of it. The Stephens extension further suggested to me it's SR sustaining this easy-going quiet lads culture around the club. Guess they're just adopting the mild-manners prawn sandwich attitude of our fans

My pick in the summer.

Yep, I was hoping for Cooper or Rohl.

Still was left field but I liked the way he came across, so was rooting for him. However after a whole preseason and several games in, it just looks like a mess.

Could be the next interim manager, and possible permanent with SR in charge

(I agree with you btw)

I think you’ll find that Maggie the Tea lady is ultimately the tactical genius.

A lot on here were very vocal about not going for Lampard in the summer. Watched Coventry earlier, they had a plan and structure and the players seemed to know what they were all doing. Given the choice now, I think Lampard would have been the better option.

He has a 100% of reaching the championship playoffs, without parachute payments too

Lampard’s success with Coventry last season is another example of taking a team up the division into play offs, and even promotion from a poor start in the Championship. Others are Cooper and years ago Keane at Sunderland.

Shows it can be done. But depends on doing it in good time, and making the right appointment. Therein perhaps lies the flaw in the plan.

Over to SR.

Massive overreaction. Still should be given much longer than this, although I agree we need to see more from his team.

Kelvin Davis is available now

I was at Eastleigh game, at least tgey created chances and run forward not walk sideways an back. Saints are so far behind teams in championship its just so easy for opponents.

Not sure but we're only 6 games in and only 2 games in with 4 new signings who were signed to be starters. Personally, given how utterly shit we were last season I would give him all of this season regardless, I'm not expecting to be promoted.

Doesn't matter who’s next, but if he know that Captain Jack isn’t a footballer, then he is the right one. Haven’t seen someone like that in years.

Interesting how people see it differently. Still seems a decent young bloke, and his back story of getting into football was novel perhaps. But he hasn’t really come across that well for me.

From his early interviews he’s seemed a reluctant, nervous perhaps (not surprisingly given age), and the whole demeanour has just screamed inexperience (which he is).

Feel sorry for him, clearly out of his depth, which was all too predictable. Except for the fuckwits who run the club.

It’s the other end of the table if he stays - can’t even see Saints matching Luton’s points total last season at this rate. If SR fancy a crack at League 1, they should keep him by all means.

The club were.

However "utterly shit" we were last season, we finished eleven places higher in the league than Middlesbrough, we bought one of their best players and spent lots of money on others.

I don't get why they get to be considered for promotion and we don't.

And their manager had just relegated a team to League 1 which had the parachute payments we currently do.

Fair to say i would not have been dancing in the streets if we had announced Rob Edwards but here we are. His 6 games are a hell of a lot better than ours.
