I’m not sure where the complete dismissal of Eckhert comes from. I’m not saying for one minute he’s definitely the man for the job, but if he takes 9 points from the next three games why would anyone doubt that for whatever reason he’s got what it takes. He may well be the exact fit required to get us firing on all cylinders - who knows?  He’s proved he’s a good manager at U-21 level…why not see if he’s matured enough to do it at senior level?

One thing’s for certain - if SR had rushed into an appointment they’d have almost certainly got it wrong. I’m chilled about the situation right now…2pm Saturday I might not be quite so relaxed mind! 😉😂

I think the odds are good, compared to Mr Bean being one of the 150+ applications.

I don't believe for a second that there was no one in that 150 who wouldn't be a good bet for us. Unless all the applicants happened to be from this forum.

I don't think it's complete dismissal. More just the fact that it's quite clear, as usual, the club don't have a fucking clue what to do. There is absolutely no plan at all.

I’d love to know what their vetting process is considering what a failure their leadership has been so far. Five years in and lower half of the Championship is all they’ve got to show for an outlay of 100s of millions plus payouts for managers.

How impressed are people with Middlesborough's impending appointment of Kim Hellborg as Head Coach (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/ce3kd3xdgego)?  It would appear that he was also interviewed by Swansea.

I have never employed a football coach, but would you just look at the applications or would you work through your own list of people you have identified as being of interest. I can’t see a quality manager worth his salt sitting down and putting together a formal application form. I wonder how many of the 150 applications were people on Universal Credit fulfilling their job application quota? 😉

Baz and shoehorn straight back in, and Downs still being brought on in a desperate attempt to limit damage to the egos involved in that disaster...clearly taking his brief from the clowns upstairs.  And said clowns are going to royally fck up any possibility of getting back up whilst the parachute dosh is still available.

A young, inexperienced manager who has only managed in Sweden and had a very limited career as a player. What could possibly go wrong (watch him be great for them).

Gerrard/Viera would be known by all players I would have thought, and for a short period may have the awe of the squad, that is why those may get something out of the them. Gerrard with a good football brain as a 2nd in command may well be good for a club like us, and you never know might get good Liverpool loans in. ( I dont believe Gerrard is a great manager but perhaps its what we need here and now. It certainly would get a short buzz IMO

In what world would Gerrard come here as a number 2?

I have. Normally I’m planning games to attend and travel etc. I can’t bring myself to throw good money after bad anymore. We know how this will play out. We’ve been there plenty of times with SR, it’s rinse and repeat. Meanwhile ticket sales don’t look great and it won’t be long before ST holders are considering next season. I think there will be plenty who will say enough is enough and stop blindly paying out for such drivel.

Don't we still use the Black Box? I thought they just pressed the 'Next Manager' button and up popped the primary candidate.

When should Dragan start to be criticised? At the end of the day he is the owner and chairman, surely he should take some responsibility now?

They also wrote off last season from around October onwards. So that’s 2 in row they’ve thrown the towel in before Christmas. Exciting times
