whelk Posted yesterday at 08:20 Posted yesterday at 08:20 0-4. Extra days rest and much stronger squad. Shit scheduling to have back to back London aways.
RedArmy Posted yesterday at 08:43 Posted yesterday at 08:43 When was the last time we won 5 league games in a row? I can’t recall any under Martin or Koeman, or even Poch. Maybe in one of our back to back promotion seasons?
Bakovnetski Posted yesterday at 08:47 Posted yesterday at 08:47 Let's not get ahead of ourselves. But, assuming we have no more injuries and fitness levels are up then it could be top 6 by the end of the weekend 😁 1
sockeye Posted yesterday at 08:56 Posted yesterday at 08:56 I think we’ll be able to overwhelm these guys. 0-3 Saints. winning five in a row surely secures him the job with an announcement on Sunday 1
Ted Bates Statue Posted yesterday at 09:00 Posted yesterday at 09:00 We should be good for another win on paper, but bear in mind that it is not allowed for Saints to have nice things and the footballing gods will not permit this to happen. 4

I’m not sure, the last few weeks feel like we’ve stockpiled a ton of good karma from some terrible years and now we’re using it all at once 😂 1 1

Nolan Posted yesterday at 09:37 Posted yesterday at 09:37 (edited) Missed our end of season run in League One. So count my previous post as the best in the top two divisions and we continued this one into the first 4 games of 11/12. Edited yesterday at 10:16 by Nolan 2
Patrick Bateman Posted yesterday at 09:41 Posted yesterday at 09:41 I don't know much about Millwall this season - does much the same again from us finish them off? Their results don't suggest they are anything other than a normal mid-table side.

Ivanovic up front is a handful my Brum supporting mate said they ripped them apart and we could too if given the space to play. We missed a few chances last night that we may need in a tight game but we have options on both wings in Leo and Tom . Downes out suspended so may need Romeu although Bragg again looked good in his cameo last night. 2

Millwall are a physical side, could have done with Downes waiting one more game to be suspended to get Romeu up to speed. Perhaps Aribo will feature. Will follow their game vs Sheffield Wednesday tonight, expect a win for Millwall but hope Wednesday make it hard for them. 3 points would put Millwall up into 4th or 5th so cannot underestimate them. 2
Miltonaggro Posted yesterday at 10:15 Posted yesterday at 10:15 Lions neutered and rogered on the road, 0-5. Nobody likes us but we don’t mind. 1 4
saintant Posted yesterday at 11:17 Posted yesterday at 11:17 Looking forward to seeing Caspar Jandar boss the midfield in yet another match. I hope we can keep him under the radar because I believe he's the player in our squad the big clubs would want most. He plays his midfield role to perfection and is the cog in the wheel we would most miss if he got injured. 7
benjii Posted yesterday at 11:33 Posted yesterday at 11:33 Surely it's Bragg in for Downes and then, aside from managing any knocks, the only questions are: - Quarshie or Stephens - Manning or Welly. I guess if they are a super-physical team you could build a case for Aribo instead of Bragg, or even Azaz, but I doubt it.
OneMrsWallace Posted yesterday at 11:34 Posted yesterday at 11:34 Horrible place to go to but I think we'll just edge a tight game 2-1. Nice feeling right now, let's keep it going.
saintwbu Posted yesterday at 11:42 Posted yesterday at 11:42 I’d expect we will revert to the Charlton lineup, Bragg back in for Downes and Stephens in for Quarshie as expect his pace not such a requirement.

saintant Posted yesterday at 12:38 Posted yesterday at 12:38 With Downes suspended I would think Romeu will be on the bench for this one. 3
Harry_SFC Posted yesterday at 12:56 Posted yesterday at 12:56 Baz; Quarshie, Wood, THB; Manning, Bragg, Jander, Fellows; Scienza, Azaz, Armstrong. Hopefully we'll finally see Romeu on the bench. 1
malcolm waldron Posted yesterday at 13:35 Posted yesterday at 13:35 Not sure what anyone else thinks but I'd really like to see a bench with Romeu sat on it... 3

Channons Windmill Posted yesterday at 13:57 Posted yesterday at 13:57 As Millwall are one of my local teams I’ve seen them a few times this season and have been unimpressed - Ivanovic is overrated and their defence can be ponderous. They’re physical and well-drilled but I saw Azaz have a good game against them in August when Boro’ won 3-0. If we play the slick attacks we have in the past few games then we have a good chance of a result. And it’s not the hostile place it once was…. 3

They’re 9th in the table with a GD of -5, which for reference is worse than Blackburn in 18th. Whilst obviously points dictate the table overall, GD is probably a better measure of how a team is playing. They’ve certainly been on the wrong end of some pretty crap defeats. 3

It's likely they'll be 4th in the table come 10pm this evening, think that's very impressive with the squad they have
Football Special Posted yesterday at 15:27 Posted yesterday at 15:27 Few seats have become available if anyone is still after one 1
Jack Posted yesterday at 15:35 Posted yesterday at 15:35 Same side as against Charlton for me. Quarshie is just too ponderous on the ball and his passing is very predictable. Need to move it quickly as the away team. Have to be confident of picking up another win. Too much to ask to have a third game in a row won by half time? 2

Saint Fan CaM Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Can’t see anything other than a win and Eckhert sealing his claim on the top job. This despite Millwall being a difficult opponent. It will not be as convincing as the last two games though and I suspect the officials being a bit shit will influence matters. 1-2 Saints.

VectisSaint Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Can't see how Millwall are 4th. Looked bang average tonight, really struggled to beat Wednesday. 3-0 Millwall. 1
SNSUN Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Wednesday ran Millwall close tonight, they were rescued by their top scorer. We have more quality, let's hope we can show it again on Saturday. 1

I'm sure he'll get the nod over Aribo. That Downes booking was definitely planned, he was hunting for it at one stage. Stephens in for Quarshie would be harsh. After the 1st 10 minutes I thought he had a good game. Jack's passing may be better but Quarshie's pace adds another element to the defence. Big question mark over Wellington for me. He looked right off the pace on Tuesday. Manning delivered two beautiful set pieces as well. I'm sure he'll start with aim to give Wellington some more minutes. I wonder when Archer will be fit. We need him in place of Downs, as there is no real back up at present. All very well him having these odd 10 minute cameos, when the game is won, but if Armstrong pulls a fetlock, we really don't want to see him come on. He just isn't ready, Oyekunle is probably a more effective back up. 1

I’m sure they’ve done their homework and will be aware how we’ve ripped the oppo apart early on recently but if we haven’t got that comfortable lead by halftime we may also need to be on it a bit more after. Decent side but may have one or two injuries and can we keep another clean sheet? Doubtful so will go 1-2, away-day joy.
CB Fry Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I can't imagine a scenario where we ever lose another football match. Absolutely buzzing for the FA Cup Final. 1 1

Yes they improved in the second half but play like we have been and it'll be another win. It'll be interesting to see their game plan against us. Do they put men behind the ball or press us? Can't imagine it'll be the latter given how we took Charlton apart last weekend. 2

Plus there seem to be an awful of surprise great aunts birthdays parties in that area this weekend. Make of that what you will.
Patrick Bateman Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago 12 hours ago, Turkish said: Saints win 6,7 -0 Did you do the hand action with 6,7?
Monk Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Watched them on Saturday, I was expecting a similar organisation to the likes of Stoke. Ultimately, having 12+ players out of your squad does have its obvious disadvantages and it showed. They were poor. Ivanovic is an interesting player, similar to Mitrovic/ industrial focal point that can bully and finish.
