AlexLaw76 Posted yesterday at 15:47 Posted yesterday at 15:47 Poor IMO. Waaay too much passing around in the middle of the park 3
Osvaldorama Posted yesterday at 15:48 Posted yesterday at 15:48 Poor display. Reminds me of a Will Still game. Arma must have had a few Christmas beers, dog shit today. 4
Saint NL Posted yesterday at 15:48 Posted yesterday at 15:48 Need a big improvement in the second half. Need to somehow get the front four on the ball.
saintant Posted yesterday at 15:48 Posted yesterday at 15:48 (edited) Scienza, Fellows, Azaz and Armstrong have been very very poor. They are normally our best players so that tells you how shit we've been. Once again we are far too content to play slow Russball at the back instead of making quick vertical passes to progress us through the lines. zzzzzzzzzzzz! Edited yesterday at 15:50 by saintant 3
JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted yesterday at 15:48 Posted yesterday at 15:48 Armstrong has gone off the boil. Very little involvement so far. 1

AlexLaw76 Posted yesterday at 15:49 Posted yesterday at 15:49 I’m sure he will change it up, he ain’t wedded to a system after all, right? 6
LGTL Posted yesterday at 15:49 Posted yesterday at 15:49 Tonda appears to be another less than inspiring appointment. What a surprise 5 1
Baird of the land Posted yesterday at 15:49 Posted yesterday at 15:49 Really poor half. So much non threatening scared possession football. think scienza is drifting wide too often too. Really hate how deep we sit on defensive corners. We make zero effort to stop second balls. 1

Dr Who? Posted yesterday at 15:50 Posted yesterday at 15:50 Leaning to much towards possession game. Need to go back to the play that landed him the position permanent manager and that is impact counter attack, which suits our players. Attack and fast and ruthless. Not tappy tappy possession football. We have seen this all before. 3
Gloucester Saint Posted yesterday at 15:50 Posted yesterday at 15:50 Decision to make about whether to switch to Cheltenham v Shrewsbury for the second half. They’re winning 2-0 playing attacking football with a proper manager and football-passionate owner.
Zorba Posted yesterday at 15:51 Posted yesterday at 15:51 Prioritising safe possession passing over getting the fucking ball up the park and in the back of the net. Far too boring for the quality players we have! 1

Mboto Gorge Posted yesterday at 15:51 Posted yesterday at 15:51 (edited) You just know he will come out with exactly the same system and personnel second half, and we will be a yard slower than them, half asleep after the break as usual. What a shock , he’s appointed permanently and we revert back to mediocrity and turgid football, people say about managers being too rigid and too wedded to a system, well this bloke seems to be the worst of all for that. It’s like he actually doesn’t know how to coach a team to play another way or in another formation hence having 5 at the back regardless of the scenario in each and every game Edited yesterday at 15:52 by Mboto Gorge 3
Disco Stu Posted yesterday at 15:52 Posted yesterday at 15:52 (edited) 75% possession yet they've had more shots. I'm getting flashbacks of Russell Martin and I don't like it. Edited yesterday at 15:52 by Disco Stu 4 1

Falkirk Saint Posted yesterday at 15:52 Posted yesterday at 15:52 What a woeful first half. Easy option every time with a sideways or backwards pass. Mega disappointing 2
StrangelyBrown Posted yesterday at 15:52 Posted yesterday at 15:52 Manning really is spectacularly shite. He literally can't carry the ball and beat a man. This on top of not being able to defend makes me wonder how he gets in the side. Stephens literally adds nothing, just slows us down in the same way that Quarshie does but has no recovery pace. Anything resembling a shot that goes near Baz is a goal. Armstrong looks like he's got a hangover. Downes can't do anything other than play the ball backwards. Azaz and Fellows not playing at all well either. This is shite. 4
OttawaSaint Posted yesterday at 15:53 Posted yesterday at 15:53 Manager after manager and the players just revert to this weak, slow, boring shite. WTF!?!? 3

dsrdorset Posted yesterday at 15:53 Posted yesterday at 15:53 Such a frustrating first half. Reverting to Russ ball 2
SouSaint Posted yesterday at 15:53 Posted yesterday at 15:53 Boring football and 3 CBs mean we find ourselves sitting very deep once again. We need another body in midfield. Hopefully the anti SR chants make a return soon, dreadful owners. 2
saintant Posted yesterday at 15:53 Posted yesterday at 15:53 Cowardly football from us. No risk taking. Just content to recycle in areas where we can't hurt them. If we don't up our game considerably there's a fair chance this will be our 3rd straight away defeat. Buck your ideas up guys because that was very safe and uninspiring against a very poor opponent. 6
Lee On Solent Saint Posted yesterday at 15:54 Posted yesterday at 15:54 Playing three centre halves against Oxford. Fuckin coward. 6
Gloucester Saint Posted yesterday at 15:54 Posted yesterday at 15:54 (edited) The Cheltenham game isn’t loading. Drat. Need to find another game where I can actually see some football and some movement, not Rasmus-ball. Yay - CTFC game has loaded! Sorry lads, I just cannot watch 45 minutes corporate plastic Pep ‘football’. I might be watching Cheltenham permanently until SR sell up. Edited yesterday at 15:56 by Gloucester Saint 1

beatlesaint Posted yesterday at 15:55 Posted yesterday at 15:55 Get Stephens off and put an attacking player - Robinson? - on ffs 1
Holmes_and_Watson Posted yesterday at 15:55 Posted yesterday at 15:55 We've set up exactly the same way, but now against sides that are a little wiser to us. We've had less room through Downes and Jander. Fellows and Manning have pushed up. That cut off midfield has made it harder to create in the middle, and more tellingly, our lack of a centre forward has meant there's not many faces to get on the end of wide deliveries. At the same time as our wing backs have pushed up, we're vulnerable to breaks down the flanks. We need a second half where we can keep the tempo up. Also one, where a Robinson or Archer can contribute to keeping the energy and chances going. Hoping to see more of Azaz providing an outlet and support in the middle. 1

saintant Posted yesterday at 15:56 Posted yesterday at 15:56 Can't see this lot getting a play-off spot unless there is some serious movement in the Jan window. For all the talk of having a better squad than most we are actually incredibly average all over the park. 2

We’re going to be nowhere near the playoffs without some very shrewd business in January which Spors has already indicated won’t be happening. We’re leaking too many goals to challenge for promotion. 2

Charlton was an one off mystery, we are firmly in boring high risk football allowing opposition to counter at will. 1

The thing is if we did pull a massive rabbit from a hat and get promoted what are they going to do then? Ditch this style or try it again in the Prem, just for us to repeat another disastrous season? Obviously we won’t get anywhere near promotion so it won’t be an issue
OttawaSaint Posted yesterday at 15:58 Posted yesterday at 15:58 Stephens is just so terrible. He's never near anything, just ambles around the field. Doesn't add a single thing to the team. Massive liability. He needs to be gone. 2
