Let's make no bones about this - Oxford were fucking useless and we've managed to gift wrap them 3 of the easiest points they'll get all season. This team of ours continues to have a really soft underbelly. Possession with zero purpose and players wandering around making no effort to show for the ball between the lines. Forget a play-off place this lot are heading where they deserve - lower table obscurity and the fans deserve a lot better. For the love of God bring in some physical units in January to give us some fight because these midget weaklings are as soft as shit.

Soooo predictable. I was going to say we are a very very average team, but we are much worse than that. That is a terrible result and exactly what we deserved.

The players don't even look like they care. We have poor owners, inexperienced and easily outmanoeuvred managers and a lack of depth. It could change in January but it won't. This season will now drift into obscurity because nobody who makes the critical decisions will have any answers.

Screwed over by the stonewall pen not being given and the blatant handball letting them get the winner, but still should have had far too much for Oxford.

Eh? You need to get those red and white tinted specs off, we were absolute dog shit and deserved nothing

Inexperienced hipster manager who’s totally out of his depth. Sports republic are a fucking embarrassment and once again have totally failed. 5 at the back again and absolutely abysmal against one of the poorest sides in the division. Subs terrible and offered pretty much nothing. Were absolutely fucked as a club.

I thin kwe have a problem. The manager has done what we all feared which is an upturn in performance but no idea what to do and not enough experience to change things when plan A doesn't work.

Just too much deadwood in this team. The likes of Romeu, Fraser and Archer coming off the bench isn't going to change a game at this level. It's just an expensive waste. We need to try and offload in January and bring in some new faces with pace.

Can't see it happening though.

Unbelievable blaming Bazunu for that goal when the forward went through Romeu and then handballed it. Some people have an agenda and it is pathetic support!

They’re not mutually exclusive. Both are fucking dreadful

Did Oxford score? 😂😂😂

Couldn’t happen to a more dislikable manager, set of players, Director of Football and owners. Sympathies with the Saints fans who travelled up there.

Normally I agree with a lot of your posts but don't agree with that part of your mini-tantrum. Players and SR have a proven track record of being cunts, yes, but i'm not sure how you reach that conclusion re the manager.

But for me, coming after the totally wooden Still, and dislikeable egotistical bellend in 2023 onwards,  Tonda has been a welcome change. Job may be too soon for him as many suspect but I'm hoping he sorts it.  Personally I'm not convinced any of the 'bigger 'names, already with a failure against their name (such as Carrick or Solskjaer for example) would be doing better.

There are some worrying duds in our squad, and hope January brings some changes, but I'm certainly not on the managers back at this point.

Tonda out. Shit subs against Coventry and today. Killed the game when he took fellows off. Board didn’t need to appoint him so early.

It’s almost as if appointing a manager with absolutely zero prior experience of being one, may have been a bit of a gamble, isn’t it?

I'm afraid it doesn't bode well having a 32 year old manager in charge, I expect there's little respect for him in the 1st team and unfortunately the tail(which is bloody useless) is wagging the dog...we are staying rooted in this league.

No offence Jimmy, but you can’t keep blaming the officials at full time.

Oxford’s wage bill is probably 5% of Southampton’s so if they got a bit of the rub of the green then it levels the playing field and they deserve what they get. They were easily the better side first half before they turned over.

If your club ponces around the pitch playing the corporate style with no commitment or movement then you deserve to lose. That’s before persisting with a corporate formation not working and a L1 goalkeeper.

We only have one outstanding player and Fuckert keeps taking him off after an hour. He may not have been having a great game today but it went downhill rapidly when he was taken off.

We should be smashing the shit out of clubs like Oxford but for all our first half possession, we looked very fragile.

Can we just have a proper fucking football manager??????? For fucks sake. I'm sure any of us could do a better job. Useless cunts, the lot of them.

Just no defending that. They were shit and they won. We were just shit. Eckert brought our two brightest attacking talents off early and left 3 CBs on all game.

I was never convinced by Eckert and I'm even less so now. I hope this is not a long term appointment. Right now I can't see us even finishing top half of the table. We need to start building for next season and that includes a manager.

I totally agree. Tonda has earned some credit and has shown that he can get a performance out of us. I think the squad is a bigger problem. Too much deadwood, players going through the motions. Lack of the right mentality. And yes, the manager can help with that.. but we are looking at some players here who it's ingrained too deep. Just need to get shot.

Not ruling relegation out, but it might be too exciting for us.

Monday night will be telling. If we have a change in system and the likes of Manning and Baz dropped then maybe TE is in control……..otherwise it’ll confirm who’s pulling the strings

Not going to let this sad excuse of a team, coaching staff and 'investors' ruin this festive period.

Do not deserve to be anywhere near promotion.

Apart from Leo, possibly Tom Fellows, burn it down and start again please.

It’s not scapegoating when it’s the same player underperforming and every other goal we concede is soft on his part. He’s just shit. Just like Manning is shit. Neither should be in the side.

Those wanting to have a pop at Eckert now, have at it.  That was as bad as its been under him and has been coming for about 3 games.

No idea why THB has stopped stepping into midfield, why AA has stopped dropping off, and why our subs are utterly ineffectual.

Fellows hadn't been great but he was just starting to get up a head of steam and causing them problems when Tonda decided it would be a good time to take him off.

We spent £50-£60 million in the summer - in this league. If the squad is weak who is to blame for that?

I mean at 1-1 on 55-60 min who’d have thought taking off our best attacking players in Leo and fellows would end up costing us? Fucking laughing stock of a club, run by fucking idiots who continually appoint terrible managers, or “head coaches” in the case

The most disgraceful thing about it all is that Oxford's winner was no surprise - totally obvious.

There was so much wrong today - totally unacceptable.

Tonda is the Saganowski of management. As soon as we give him the permanent job the performances are through the floor. Crap again against a mangerless team 😂😂😂 pathetic

TBH Badger it was me genuinely laughing as the anger dispersed years ago. I don’t have anything against Tonda per se, he’s just another figurehead for Rasmus’s experiments and playing FM in real life. Therefore, I can’t respect him either. If he declares publicly that he needs a #1 keeper and striker then I could change my mind.

But I don’t trust any manager SR appoints in summary. The only way to recovery is parting company with SR and if that’s via relegation or administration then happy to roll the dice. The club is dying under SR anyway so just speed process up a bit.

Yep hence I’m £40 better off. Rather not have the money but on 80 min it’s always worth a punt on us to fuck it up, to soften the blow
