Clown management decision, from a puppet coach desperately out of his depth

No it doesn't, particularly because he didn't even play an hour in the last game. Even if what you say is true, start him and give him an hour. If he's fit for the bench he needs to play.

the idea is to be shit in the first half now and bring our best players on to be good in the second half. It make absolute sense!

You are one of those “Baz is fine for the championship “ aren’t you?

It's not cool to take the bait of a contraian, fellas... ;)

More of the same shit that has been well and truly sussed out by the opposition and no doubt will be sussed out tonight.

Thought Eckert was quite intelligent when he first took over.  Don’t think it now.

Makes sense, three games in seven days is a lot for any player and Leo struggles to maintain his intensity for more than an hour at the best of times. Hopefully JR seizes this oportunity.

Glad to see Jely on the bench and Romeu not included.

Had he played 80 mins plus I would possibly agree with you. But he was on the pitch for 55 mins and we didn’t exactly go full throttle did we?

So no it doesn’t make sense.

Part of me does admire that the biggest troll on this site is the fucking mod 😂

Not sure that worked in the last game given we were shit in both halves!

Eckert is a joke. Subbing Leo early to protect him for this match, only to bench him anyway 🤣

I think I’ll wait to see if he is asked why Leo is on the bench and what his explanation is.

I did say that Tonda won’t change a thing regardless of results. We could lose 5-0 tonight and New Year’s Day will be the same players and the same formation, and the same keeper. Hes going to stick with this way regardless of results.

Whilst I get the moans this place is really full of hysterical tarts

I get that but I don't think it's hysterical to express some concern that the brief period of good form was the temporary bit and we've just reverted to the norm. In previous games we've had some changes like Fellows or Scienza out but the last game was particularly concerning because we were full strength and were really poor.

I am not defending him but people screaming fuck off and puppet manager etc. is funny. Been part of going mental at the line up so often and been pleasantly surprised.
The feel good has well and truly drained and any thoughts that Tonda was master tactician have long gone.

Yeah that's fair. I do find it weird that he won't change formation though. If we lined up with four at the back and Fellows in midfield what's the worst that could happen? Maybe we concede a couple of goals? That happens every game regardless!

You say that but Aribo’s order of 100 samosas just arrived piping hot. Hoping he shares at least a few of them with Tonda and the lads.

No excuse for that joke of a goalkeeper to keep his place. Macca is far better by virtue of not being totally shit.

It’s clearly not picked on performances or actual effectiveness and ability to stop the opposition scoring goals, that much is clear.  But more because our owners are desperate for their investment to work, their pet project.

It's because he's made his decision because his distribution is better than McCarthy. Clearly he thinks that ability outweighs other considerations.

Here we go again, please don’t make me feel like I’m stuck in Groundhog Day!

Hoping for:- 🙏🏼

No goalkeeping errors, No defensive errors, No goals from crosses, No easy/give me goals, High energy/faster play, more forward/direct/positive play, Fight/Physical strength 💪, rapid closing down (certainly around our goal area), no stupid substitutions.  Sure that I’ve missed plenty!? & am asking for far too much,  it’s only been like this for years! 🙄

Got to see some fight & improvement - please! COYR - I’m clinging on

Three fifths of a competent defender? Sounds about right.

If only we could ever get a 6/10 performance from some of them. Would definitely be an improvement.

How the fuck Jack "I'm a complete statue" Stephens starts and is rewarded by being the captain despite his complete inept defending is beyond me. Just wtf is going on!

Add made of smoke Baz and can't defend Manning to that list. None of that 3 should be in the side. Arma is lucky that there isn't anyone else...

What a load of shite.

Seeing the FUCK OFF when I loaded the thread did give me a good laugh to be fair! We need all the humour we can get.

Seeing the state of Callum Rydz’s hair at the darts, surprised Rasmus hasn’t lodged a bid. Or that the crowd hasn’t started their usual 🎵 He’s got shit hair, we don’t care 🎵

Hopefully Saints can get back to the team playing forward football and quickly transitions.

Not what we've seen for the last 3 games.

Hopefully Fellows will back to his best before his injury.

he got so few passes from his team mates last time out.

That and the fact that McCarthy has won three league games in three and a half years, two of which were end of season dead rubbers, and isn't actually any better at keeping balls out of the net.

If McCarthy had played against Leicester and West Brom and put in an exactly identical performance, everyone would be saying, "two nailed on defeats if we'd had Bazunu in goal."

Is Bazunu and amazing keeper? No but he's better than McCarthy.

Didn't watch the first hour of the Oxford game, was Scienza poor / knackered? Otherwise only thing I can think of is he's hoping to keep it tight then let Scienza run at a tired defence?

Obviously disappointing to not see Leo start. He's our game changer. Robinson knows the expectations on him to step up in a settled system.

However, in Leo's absence the others (looking at Azaz) have to also step up to give Robinson as much of a chance/ space to do well as they can.

Hopefully Birmingham will be confident enough in their own attack, that they give us the space to get the ball through our midfield. Failing that, Fellows and Manning can pin them back and get it across.

Hoping for a win to get us back on track.

Like conceding goals from shots that should probably be saved? And thereby costing us points? But he can pass it about needlessly to his centre backs a bit better, which don’t result in us scoring goals more often than he concedes shots at his own goal. Utter genius.
