I guess the idea is that Brum will go all out for 35-45 mins and in such circumstances,  a tired, and/or slightly crocked Leo will be wasted. Better for him to come on after the break and tear a tiring, increasingly fractious and frustrated Birmingham a new one?

Will this work if Birmingham go 3 up in the first 35-45 minites?

Actually we didn't, we gift-wrapped him a golden chance to score by leaving him completely unmarked to tap in an easy rebound, but he somehow managed to put it over the bar.
