Crowd needs to stay lively if we are being frustrated. With the talent we have on the bench, we've always got a chance of unlocking them late on. You vant know footbol? You speak Benjii. 2
Saint NL Posted yesterday at 15:50 Posted yesterday at 15:50 First few minutes looked very promising because Charlton gave us space down the wings, they've stopped that now and neither Scienza or Fellows are in the game. This game is there for the taking, just need a goal from somewhere 1

Shame that neither Larin nor Stewart has 90 mins in them at the moment. Well, we have Archer to look forward and we know what that means.. Absolutely nothing 1
Baird of the land Posted yesterday at 15:50 Posted yesterday at 15:50 Take fellows off(he’s hardly been involved)and get larin on. 1
saintant Posted yesterday at 15:50 Posted yesterday at 15:50 Could be a game for the energy of Matsuki. 2
AlexLaw76 Posted yesterday at 15:51 Posted yesterday at 15:51 Simply need to be far more adventurous in the final 3rd..very static when we walk the ball up to 40 yards out.... 1
adrian lord Posted yesterday at 15:51 Posted yesterday at 15:51 We breakdown in their penalty area. 2
SouSaint Posted yesterday at 15:52 Posted yesterday at 15:52 This screams 0-1 Charlton. Pathetic performance from a side that has cost millions to put together.

Obstacle1 Posted yesterday at 15:52 Posted yesterday at 15:52 Wouldn't be opposed to matsuki on for fellows at half time. He deserves a chance

obelisk Posted yesterday at 15:53 Posted yesterday at 15:53 Saints with loads of possession that has created a few reasonable chances. Nice move with Manning hitting the bar. All about slow though and too many final third balls nowhere near finding an attacker. We're obviously much better in the second half these days so with more intensity, more bodies in the box, more speed Saints ought to get the required 3 points. Although Charlton have created the odd chance so I'm going for a pessimistic 0-1 result.

benjii Posted yesterday at 15:54 Posted yesterday at 15:54 If we haven't scored in the next 15, I'd consider bringing Matsuki on for one of the CMs. Get an extra player further forward in the middle. Then if we need a goal a bit later, move Scienza to right and bring Edozie on left. I'm assuming Larin will be on for Stewart by 70 mins regardless, but if Stewart has 90 mins in him, this might be one for two strikers.

Convict Colony Posted yesterday at 15:56 Posted yesterday at 15:56 Fellows is like 0.5 of a robben, he cuts inside and instead of shooting passes back to THB
NewYorkSaint Posted yesterday at 15:57 Posted yesterday at 15:57 Huge difference in quality between the teams... And we have a powerful bench a-waiting. Football can always break your heart w a bad run of the ball... but we really deserve this one. I'd love to see Larin get another.

Micky Posted yesterday at 15:59 Posted yesterday at 15:59 Seen this a hundred times before, all fart and no shit in front of goal, nowhere near enough urgency to get the goal. We'll sleepwalk to defeat and contrive to lose this one, prepare for a kick in the bollocks. 1 1
for_heaven's_Saint Posted yesterday at 16:00 Posted yesterday at 16:00 Need to really go for it in the second half. Hope Tonda can change the game like he did at Leicester. Agree Fellows could come off- really not offering much.
Saint NL Posted yesterday at 16:00 Posted yesterday at 16:00 (edited) Needs a big half time team talk from tonda which hasn't really been his strong point Edited yesterday at 16:00 by Saint NL 1

SWLondon Saint Posted yesterday at 16:01 Posted yesterday at 16:01 Only saw the last 15 mins or so but our ball movement is so slow and too conservative. I really don't like the Stephens-Manning combo, I think they bring the worst out of each other. Also Manning never seems to drive forwards with the ball, he's very passive. 1
Convict Colony Posted yesterday at 16:02 Posted yesterday at 16:02 You know how shit this game is we are only on 6 pages 1
obelisk Posted yesterday at 16:02 Posted yesterday at 16:02 Anything other than 3 points today is going to be quite a disappointment. Need to jeep the upward momentum and I'd like to see much more urgency with that in mind for the 2nd half. 2

LiberalCommunist Posted yesterday at 16:03 Posted yesterday at 16:03 Ponderous and predictable. We need to take risks to get rewards. The longer we are shut out, the worse our performance will be towards the end. Come on Saints, do something different. 1

Manning, although I don’t hate him the way some do, is a serious downgrade on Wellington, he consistently gets behind, or level with the forward play and ends up recycling. 1

OttawaSaint Posted yesterday at 16:07 Posted yesterday at 16:07 My mental scars are telling me we'll make a few more chances, miss an absolute sitter and then Lyndon Dykes will bully in a winner for them.
Hopper Posted yesterday at 16:07 Posted yesterday at 16:07 I don't think we've played poorly. More that Charlton have executed their gameplan well. Now we see if Tonda decides to stick or twist. Edozie a must for me given what we've seen. 1
