This and the previous post that you quote sum it up for me. I feel bitter atm and the atmosphere at Wembley Park tube after the match indicates so many other Saints fans feel the same.

How come Man City can have 130 charges of financially irregularity seemingly ignored? How come Chelsea can lose squillions and not get punished? On the other hand points deductions are playing a huge part in deciding who gets relegated from the Championship. The whole thing stinks.

Bizarrely there are people on this forum cheering City on to win the league again. Fucking insane.

Wonder what Pep said to Tonda at full time. He pulled him close and spoke to him for a while.

Well it was complimentary because you could see Tonda say 'Thank you'

2 amazing goals and 1 fluke.  What can you say, we played fantastically against one of the best sides and managers in the world, the cheating cunts

I literally can’t remember when, but I got a screenshot of him sticking his tongue out, and it seemed funny. This was pre-pedo gate. Guess I should probably change it.

Ordinarily I'd have Arsenal win the league. But as my cousin is a grade A cu*t when it comes to football and being an Arsenal fan, I hope they do bottle it to City!

And what? You see a lot of glory hunting saints fans? Thought not.

We showed again today that we have the core of a team that will be able to compete in the Premier league. Not every team is anything like as good as City so I'm confident, with Tonda at the helm, we'll do ok if we manage to win the battle of the Play-Offs. Today will give the players so much confidence and appearing at Wembley should give us an advantage should we get there again. This team is building with each new experience and the better times look like they're coming back.

Southerners that worked their socks off

Proud today. Of the team and the fans. Brilliant day

Feels so much like after the League Cup final. Glorious, magnificent failure. When Azaz scored it was absolute chaos behind that goal and I genuinely thought it might just be our time.

Hopefully they’ll use this feeling to propel us to another play off win at Wembley. They fucking deserve it and so do we. We have the makings of a pretty decent PL outfit here.

Yep 3 Championships teams have had points deductions this season whilst Chelsea lose hundreds of Millions every year and City have 120 odd charges hanging over them, like you say it stinks

We were. We tried to sign him when he was playing in Belgium. Don’t know why it didn’t happen but it was a couple of years before he joined Man City

Look at the difference between fans today. They can keep their money and their cheating. They are a soulless, she'll of a club. Take away their money now and they have nothing. Not a peep from them until they got the winner. Pathetic

A shout out to Nathan Wood for today's performance. I feared he'd struggle but he was an absolute rock alongside THB typified when he made two superb blocks within seconds of each other.

Agreed, I thought they'd target and exploit him but he was excellent. His run back to block (what turned out to be offside, but he wasn't to know) that shot in the first half was a superb example of his solid performance today.

What happened at Wembley Park?

I went to Central and seemed generally good natured, bar a handful of Saints fans outside the stadium being cocks to an few older City fans for no particular reason...

Yep good shout. I was adamant after that Bristol City game he should be nowhere near Wembley today but he did himself proud.

Lots of good things said about us today by the commentary teams and pundits and not in a condescending way - most of it came across as genuine credit for how the team have developed under Tonda. Always nice to hear because we don't always get the credit we deserve.

Regardless of the result we put up a good fight the entire game. A championship club took the premier league leaders down to the wire and for a moment looked as if they could have gone all the way. Some really excellent clearances today the players played with heart and passion which if you think back to last season is all we wanted from the team. Support was fantastic also, roaring before during and after the match and in my subjective opinion we put City’s fans to shame. We now have a big end to the season and we just need to pull through and aim for the main prize…. Promotion!

On the way home. Sick as a few parrots but what a great performance. I haven't read back to get the consensus but I thought Jander was superb. And everyone was so committed, and under that kind of pressure too, brilliant. Wood stood out too. But they were all Saints today. When we could we tried to use the ball intelligently which is so hard against them. So unlucky with their equaliser.

Need to keep this team together.

Agree with what you say about using the ball intelligently. Man City press like no other side in the country. It's so hard to keep the ball against them.

Doku completely changed the game today.  All that shyte passing city were doing was getting them nowhere.

Doku beat Fellows every single time and put them on the front foot

I’d just like to say a word about Wellington. Given he’s hardly played for what, 2 months? I thought he was fantastic today.

Such a shame he had to come off.
