I'd been checking the tickets situation for 24 hours prior to that final window opening, and the only seats left, were at the back of the top level. That was it. 

But at 1.30pm, when I got out of the waiting room, and on to the site, there were quite a few other seats available, all around our end of the stadium.

And somehow, I managed to get 4 seats together in block 126...

 

No idea what happened, but the football gods were clearly smiling.

If anybody doesn't have a ticket but is eligible for one, there are occasional single tickets that keep popping back up on the site, just got to time it right. These are basically when somebody has added them to their basket but not gone on to complete the transaction, so after 20 minutes they get released back into the pool for everyone to see.

I would assume as soon as our appeal is thrown out.

SWT will also be cancelling all those ‘extra’ trains to Waterloo on Saturday, probably good news for a refund if specifically booked on one of those.

Club should have refunded us/given us immediate credit from their accounts immediately. Why should we have to wait for 'process'?

And they should have also issued credit for Boro games, given that they were now very expensive 'friendlies'. That would be the honourable thing to do if they were really trying to repair the damage.

As well as sacking Tonda, doing that on 'day 1' could have been someway to start to re-build trust - but all it shows us is that the statement on the OS was wishy washy corporate bullshit. They will not regain our trust.

This is the only thing left - to see Boro lose. It would give me a modicum of satisfaction.

In my opinion Boro do not deserve to be there. We were wrong to do what we did but it had no effect on the semi final. Boro played the press and the public like a fiddle to gain an unfair advantage at the disciplinary hearing. I strongly suspect they used their network of contacts in high places equally effectively. I have some sympathy for their fans but not their hierarchy.
