Turkish Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Harry Wilson to join Leeds on a free, wonder if that means they're no longer after Scienza? 2
VectisSaint Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I was toying with the idea that we should be looking for a THB replacement, perhaps Upameccano would fit the bill. 1

The Calvert Lewin signing was a good one last summer and on paper this is another. Those kind of moves are what turns you from relegation fodder to mid table comfort. I wonder if it impacts the Charles move? 1

I wonder if it impacts the Charles move? It can, but it can backfire as well. Over the years we’ve bought plenty of stars past their sell by date. Some revelled in a last hurrah, whereas others never fitted in. Going way back Ball, Watson, Osgood and Mills were amongst the signings that worked, whereas Dixon, Speedie, Hughes and, arguably, the return of Romeu were all largely flops.

Not sure he's past his sell by date. Dixon on the other hand was 32 and had only scored 5 goals the season before. Speedie was also 32. He had scored a shed load for Blackburn, but in a lower division. Hughes was 35 and Romeu 34. I think most knew there best days were gone. 1

I still think they'll be in the market for Charles, like you said, they are slowly moving towards a midtable side and even a player like Charles will offer some worth to achieve that. 1

Osgood was only 27 and in his prime when joined… 2
