In the right role BBD really is a solid, double digit Championship striker. If Tonda can figure out a way to use him then having him as an option up front really isn’t the worst idea. It’s not like Stewart ever banged in 20 goals for us. 5

Saint_lambden Posted yesterday at 10:27 Posted yesterday at 10:27 BBD will still go if the offer is right and we can then replace him (shouldn’t be hard), he’s just part of the squad for now as there’s no benefit to him or us to not being involved at all. He wants to move back up north.

We have this hysteria every year and every year most of the business is done towards the end of the window. For example last year we signed: Fellows, Azaz and Jander: 29th August Scienza: 1st September 5

It's ingrained in us! But I actually think we might do a bit better at the start of this season because we are on -4 points. I think we'll be keen erradicate that as soon as possible. Plus we have managerial stability for a change (unless the EFL balls's that up for us) and we have largely the same team as we finished the unbeaten run with last season (and would have got promoted with I am sure) with the addition of Dobbin in lieu of Stewart (pending the departure of Charles I guess). I am hoping for a decent start. The Carabao doesn't particularly matter (although a cup run would be nice).

It's an absolute shit show again isnt it Stewart thinks Swansea are a better option than us! Missed out of Evan Ferguson, Dan Neill, Ballard, Lankshear, Gave it all the talk about holding out for 30m for Charles but then in true Saints style bent over and sold him for loads cheaper We've had to spend 11m of Peretz and Larin just to stand still, did we learn NOTHING from doing that in the premier league? The only signing we've made is some unproven kid who struggled last season at Preston!! Lots of talk from the club but very little ACTION AS USUAL!! Im VERY worried. 10

The difference being that this season we’ve basically kept together the entire team and manager which won fourteen and drew five league games since the end of February. We’ve even made the loans permanent so our only real change is Dobbin in for Stewart. There are no excuses not to hit the ground running this year, like we did with a settled team in 2011.

Chez Posted yesterday at 13:27 Posted yesterday at 13:27 4 hours ago, Turkish said: You lot are making out BBD Is going to be our only striking option and we're going to be depending on him only. He's probably 3rd or 4th choice in all 3 attacking roles, it's not like hes going to be starting every game and playing 90 minutes every week because the club have gambled completely on him. Although he's lost his way since joining us was decent at Blackburn and Sheffield United didn't do badly last season at Derby. If he wants to stay under those terms and prove to Tonda he's better than that then that can only be a good thing. If Derby offer £3m, would you turn it down then?
