Romeo looked ok TBF but not sure if loaned out yet we have to have some pathway for youngsters as 5th choice Jander still here

Fernandes, Dibling...Livramento was close. But anyway I was being facetious, just that of all our centre backs, Abbott would be the only one we'd likely get any resale value out of... and we don't even own him. Schlotterbeck is 29, Jack is worth Jack and hypothetically even after a good season as our first choice CB i doubt anyone would pay more than £10 million for Wood.

Agreed, some people seem to think the 2 CM roles are interchangeable. I don't like all these new fangled descriptions but if we have to use them Charles and Jander are 8s, Downes, JWP and Cam Bragg are 6s.

Ah yes, the classic let's go on the offensive when called out. Also very common here. 

Damion Downs was signed at the beginning of last season, I'd say that's ample time to prove whether he's at our level irrespective of the number of starts he's had. He's had loan spells at lower levels than us and failed, so this is a pretty pointless example you've provided. We all know hes nowehre near the level we need, so no point being a dick about it.

Fair enough, but THB was one of the best CBs in the championship at just 20 so the age is irrelevant here.

JWP is a fine replacement for Charles. There's a bit of misremembering going on - Charles was in and out of the team last season, he wasn't a nailed on starter. He also only scored 4 goals and got 2 assists - I'd be happy to predict now that JWP will get at least double both of those figures.

Edozie is second choice on the left wing at the moment, he has regularly come on and looked a threat at this level (and for what it's worth, has more championship goals and assists than Charles in far less appearances). If we were to let him go for four million we'd need to find someone for the same money or less who is just as good and is willing to be back up.
