Wood is quicker, more physical, a better header and reads the game better than Stephens - so in his case this isn't a sensible argument. I think he's done it be cause "it's only Lincoln" and Jack can save face, by looking like he's part of a rotation.

100% this

You wanted Tonda sacked every week last season. Have you not worked out he has more tactical nous than Saintsweb posters yet?

Will Stephens be better on the right with Schlotterbeck?

Jack Stephens will score today from a corner.

Given that Shlotterbeck had a couple of Captain Jack moments against Birmingham I’m not sure of the wisdom of pairing up these two. As we know, Stephens is weak in the air too.
Other than that happy to see JWP start and it looks pretty good on paper.

At some point Mubama is going to have to start and needs more game time though.

Is the Saints match on fking Sky or not?? All I can see is them talking about Blackburn, on every Sky Sports channel, even Sky+ which is supposed to be Lincoln vs Saints?

3-0 to us today - Larin, Scienza and Prowsey (free kick!) 😊 COYR 😊

Needs to be 4-0 as Stephens is scoring today. Or 4-3 😂

I would think it's likely Larin will come off earlier this game, maybe on the hour, so Mubama should get 30 mins+ hopefully. Ideally, the plan would be to be a couple of goals up by then but as we know it doesn't always go to plan with Saints!

It's not like the defence didn't still look shaky in the week. I'd lime us to try some combinations to see what works. Bree is a definite but the others all have various weaknesses and combinations are usually the key rather than individuals. Stephens will know he has to perform or he's out.

Every league game that isn't 3pm on a Saturday is on Sky. The way they are doing the build up by talking about all of the 12.30 televised is no different to what they've ever done.

Are Lincoln the new Wimbledon

Yeah, this is the late 1980s version but not quite as brutish under today’s laws.

Mind you, I’m also getting Ian Branfoot Southampton early 1990s flashbacks.
