No not every rumour of course not...

But a bit of reassurance to an ever increasingly nervous fan base would be good...IF its not true about all of the players under speculation

But of course if its true they will not make any comment until its a done deal...

But no one will believe the club anyway.Ralph said yesterday we wouldn't sell without the new managers say so. That was yesterday one new rumour and we've all stopped believing him..........

As one of if not THE most sensible regular poster on here I find it strange that you are slagging off the board barely 24 hours after Ralph's interview because of something that looks like a great hoax by someone changing their Twitter account to the name of a Liverpool Echo journalist.

Massive hoax.....how deep is your neck buried?

I can see the wood from the tree's, and all the board are feeding us is waffle. Look what they're doing....it will all become clear in 6-8 weeks.

Please don't be sucked in by what he says. He's good at talking and getting fans on side, that's why he's in that position. Then the people behind him can do all the stuff he doesn't mention.

Sorry but 4m plus add ones is a joke, he is worth so much more to us. Really have to wonder what is going on, despite new commercial officers of course.

BBC reporting same figure.

Where are the BBC reporting that? Or are they reporting that someone else is reporting it?

Echo reporting it as done deal now confirmed with player

Can't begrudge him the move we owe him so much but it will hurt to see him playing for Liverpool.

Daft money for a 32 year old to be honest, forget the emotion its a good deal for Saints but a bad deal for our hearts.

What would be add ons for a 32 yr old, a packet of crisps? Still sounds utter media bs, especially the fee is so laughably small now it wouldn't even make sense from a financial standpoint.

And if it does happen then he will look a bit of an idiot and no fan will ever believe him again...

So he really is in a corner and has to either

1 Deny it and say its not going to happen and if it does he will look a fool

2 state that is is happening and look a fool..

Not a good position for him unless it does not happen

I hope its true. The guy has been an absolute colossus for Saints. Putting aside whatever is going on at our club, Lambert to Liverpool is his dream move and would be a second lot of icing on the cake (after his World Cup call up) for his astounding rise through the ranks. Good luck to him. There is no one more deserving.

CLUELESS KRUGER.

lack of ambition, lack of leadership, lack of ability., lack of integrity? This man just said no selling until we get a manager? Can we believe anything the Board say?

When do we head to SMS for the protest to wake these idiots up?

How do people feel about Ralf lying to the fans yesterday? Still blameless in all of this?

Was always just talk, good talk, but talk. I'm never sucked in by people like him, slimy, fan on the board, have a pint with me in the pub types. Actions were what we were waiting for.

Looks like we have our 2nd action of the summer, and a 2nd fail for the new board.

I wonder how many of these 'top class' managers across europe still want the job with no lovren, lambert and lallana

Can you imagine the interview?

Board: "So then, what would attract you to the Southampton job?"

Manager: "Well, the quality in the squad is very good and the chance to work with and push great players is very appealing. The likes of Luke Shaw...."

*Board all look at each other*

Manager: "I suppose that would still leave Adam Lallana..."

*Board all look at each other*

Manager: "You've still got Dejan Lovren, Morgan Schneiderlin*

*Board all shuffle uncomfortably*

Manager: "Well you still have the talisman Rickie Lambert"

Board: "We'll wrap this up now"

No wonder the likes of Oscar Garcia are being linked to the job. He'll be asked how he can get the best out of Billy Sharp ffs.

Utter fools errand to deny bids when the press has decided we're their pet chew toy to make up stuff about.

Liverpool Echo reporting too. £4m with add-on's (whatever they may be).

Worth much more to us than £4m. Very sad to see him go, even if he is only likely to have 2 more seasons left in him. Proper footballer who didn't ponce about, played through pain and knows where the goal is. Good luck to him. £4m for an England international in WC year is **** poor business by the way, even if he is 32.

Hmm, have we all missed the fact that KL is a super villain and has planned all along to sell all of the squad, raise herself a few hundred million, close the club and retire to an island in the Bahamas to count her cash?! It's certainly feeling like that...

Very strange move if true, why would Pool who I presume are going for the title next year be looking at a player at the end of his career?

Still if true then all the best to Rickie, been one of our best signings ever - couldn't begrudge him a final pay day and he'll get a warm welcome at SMS whatever happens.

So that would leave us with what, a crocked player, a kid and a want-away Italian?

Are we doing a total football 4-6-0 formation?

:scared:

But Sky said 9 million surely the add ons aren't worth 5 million
