It can’t be worse than that pink shite last season

Or that hideous blue/green effort 22/23 in our previous relegation season. That was a different level of shit

So guess this was BS?

its not even 10.30 yet ! Not every announcement has to be at 9.00......................lets see what the day brings 🙂

I would be surprised if its today. P & O Cruises parent company (Carnival) is based in the US and its a national holiday (Juneteenth) in the US today.

Tomorrow would make more sense.

P & O's Flagship Britannia is in, so are the Queen Anne and Queen Mary 2 (both Cunard, but still part of Carnival).

to be fair to the original person they just could have misunderstood.

"the club is gearing up for the new kit launch tomorrow, alongside the training kit stocked too"

"tomorrow" maybe is referring to "gearing up for the new Kit Launch", rather than the actual date of the launch

You could well spend a day prepping for the shop to ready for a Friday launch.

Already on DH Gate

IMG_4741.png

Just wondering how DH Gate will have the correct kit, when it hasn't been released fully yet.
Or does this mean that you are in some sort of queue, wherby once it has been fully released, you will get yours before others.

Always assumed it's insiders from the Chinese subcontractors that the firms use.

Or even just online speculation. I notice some of the Leeds kits on there are based on 'concepts'.

I guess today was the day for the Solak interviews. Kit launch day tomorrow definitely definitely 👍👍

Solak in full kit and studs on the deck of a P&O liner with a Draper hard hat on.  Nailed on!

Last year's kit launch was in mid-July when all the players were back from holiday, it was an evening event and the announcement of Flynn Downes came with it.

Are we expecting a more low-key launch this year?

Bit extreme to nail the hard hat on!

I thought the punk kit was quite decent. Not decent enough to part with £60 but one of our better efforts.

So, yes. Fingers crossed for low key.

That is horrific. That looks like a JD Wetherspoons carpet or a hotel which hasn’t seen a renovation in 30 years.

Punk kit was that The Skids The Saints are coming in? Saw them do that live 1865 few years ago.

Pink Kit was horrendous especially the fat pot belly away dayers wearing it!

I’d say it looks like it was made from Ukrainian curtains, personally.

The worst thing about that is the misalignment of the pattern between the top of the shirt front and the shoulder panel...

Which is the very reason clubs are coming up with more and more convoluted and intricate designs. Can't see there's a massive market for Reading shirts though, fake or real 🤣

They're not fake ones, they're sent direct from the manufacturer (well via falling off the back of a lorry in China I'm sure). They'll have been in production for a while now.

Apparently the weird pattern is lifted from a Huntley and Palmers biscuit tin - why Reading are the biscuit men, used to make biscuits there!

If that is actually it, it’s so weird how the front and the sleeves look like they’re from two different kits and aren’t even the same shade of red. Mental. So near yet so far.

Looks like they tried to mimic last year's Portugal azulejo tiles kit. But failed.

I'm guessing it will probably look better on, but in that picture it looks really shite. To be expected. Puma get about one in every fifty kits right.

China make facsimiles of what they think the kit is. They just make assumptions based on what they know of puma kits and the 'leak'.

I would also be surprised if it's sold without a logo in the UK so as it stands it will be pretty easy to spot those buying from bootleggers.

Those sites often don’t show the logo in their photos of the kit.

I haven’t bought a kit for years now but used to get one or two every year for playing 5 a side. The quality and likeness to the actual kits was absolutely spot on every time.

Well at least the red stripes may cover your nips.

Judging from the fact the label is quite obvious, this material is really poor.

I actually don’t think Reading’s kit is the worst in the world. I’d rather have that in vertical stripes than the rubbish being rumoured.

I thought Palace’s kit from last season was smart. That in red and white would be pretty good.

To be fair, you can clearly see it is Puma Drycell shirt technology, designed for, er, athletes running around to wick sweat and not flabby football fans sweating beer.

All down to personal taste, and I’m more of a traditionalist, and don’t like seeing what I regard as psychedelic patterns ( Reading this season, or out hideous 2022/3 away kit for example). Palace’s fell into that category.

But credit where it’s due, even with that design, Palace still retained stripes on the back. Why we can’t is beyond me.
