JCBSaint Posted June 24 Posted June 24 Yeah that’s nice, the mind boggles why that’s so hard! The ironic thing is that club got their colours from us if you go through the history, year on year they seem to have a nice kit along with Athletico Madrid , again another team with Saints kit history. 1
CB Fry Posted June 24 Posted June 24 Alfie on the TS podcast saying the club is contracted to Rollbit until July 1st as shirt sponsor so he thinks the new kit won't be announced/ released until at least then.

Best suggestion yet (with stripes on the back). Seeing that again just annoys me how much they’ve once again missed an open goal with regards to the kit. 2

Dr Who? Posted June 24 Posted June 24 I do feel we have seen all the different variants of red and white stripes, there is only so much you can do. Even worse now there is one kit per season! 1

Saints played in quarters (and halves, and the sash) in the first ten years or so. I wouldn't be averse to a red version of a Bristol Rovers kit personally. They even had one a few years ago which paid tribute to an old striped kit of theirs. But otherwise yeah, stripes. https://www.footballkitarchive.com/bristol-rovers-2019-20-home-kit/24763/

You Dont have to do 'A' because 'A' has happened for a long time. Look at Goztepe, started off as yellow and red stripes, but evolved to just incorporating red an yellow. Theyve had halves, quarts and chequerboard. Last year had this. Identifiably Goztepe but doing something different. I hope at somepoint we're just red and white without relying on dull repetitive old stripes.
leesaint88 Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Seeming though the current sponsorship deal runs to the 1st July, I very much doubt we'll see anything before then..

Saint_clark Posted Thursday at 10:35 Posted Thursday at 10:35 Bizarrely mine has turned up from DHGate before it's even been officially released - and with no sponsor to boot! 6

Not sure of the exact store Saint_clark got his from but search for player names like Aribo and Kamaldeen and you should get results.

Saint_clark Posted Thursday at 17:46 Posted Thursday at 17:46 5 hours ago, Chez said: Are the reds the same shade S_C? they look different on your pic. They are different shades yeah, at first I thought it was just because the shoulders wrapped around the other side so it "doubled up" whereas the stripes only had one layer of red, but even when looking through the shoulder panels themselves it's clearly a darker hue. Weird choice. 1

The one I ordered for my kid turned up today as well. Mainly got it out of curiosity of what it would be like and if it would beat the reveal. My main observations: The crest looks alright. On photos of Chinese versions I've seen in the past couple of years it's often looked a bit off. Hard to explain, but the material feels a bit different to what I was expecting. Maybe shinier/cheaper. The difference in shade of red between stripes and arms/shoulders that has been noticeable to different degrees in previous photos is because the body of the shirt is white fabric with the red stripes added on, where as the red on the arms/shoulders is red fabric. It will be interesting to compare to the real version when revealed to see whether the bottom two points are consistent, or if just present on the Chinese version. Edited Friday at 15:11 by Mozz
