After weeks of apathy it’s back to being annoyed again for me. Today I had a bit of hope we might do ok against an almost as shit side and sneak that point to save us from the humiliation of equal worst team in this league ever. Instead I witnessed the ghost of Martin past as we regressed to playing like we did at the start of the season pass pass pass mistake goal facepalm whatever. Wankers all of them.

I'm prepared to see what Spors can do as long as he isn't off as soon as a bigger club shows interest. The fact that Smallbone and Stephens are getting regular game time in the premier league as an absolutely damming indictment of our transfer policy. If we see promotion next year for example and then a much more ruthless approach next summer I'd be satisfied. Could just as likely do a Luton at the moment though and go back down to league one.

Now I sit here most of the time not getting involved in what I consider the "bullying" that you take at times, but I am going to disagree with you here. There has been a turn over of managers over the last 2 or 3 years and a number of various changes behind the scenes, none of which have had a positive effect......quite the opposite. I think that it is perfectly feasible to base future expectations on the experiences of the past. Expect the worst....Hope for the best....

Martin was shocking.. juric at least tried different things and failed but rusk has been the worst.. to play the same formation in the last 3 games, to surrender midfield again by playing a back 5 again today is appalling. He hasn’t a fecking clue.. to be defensive against a team that can’t score??? The owners can feck off, take SR with you..the players bar a few can all feck off.

Most of these will be hard pressed to find other clubs above the Championship unless their agents are miracle workers. Only KWP, Fernandes and Ramsdale have the tools to play above Championship level.

It always makes me laugh when people think these players care less.

It's a just a job to them.

The ones who came through the system... (Smallbone is that it?) might care until the summer until he's sat on a beach in the Caribbean somewhere.

These people live in a completely different world to the average fan.

They won't give one single toss about this season.

In a season where every game has been a poor performance, this one tops the lot in terms of ineptness. The most unlikable bunch of professional footballer players we have ever had the displeasure of having to watch.

This is a Leicester team who have been almost as bad as us, are without a good % of their better players, haven't scored at home since November- and they were absolutley light years ahead, we were not even competitive with them.

Honestly if this lot are competitive in the Championship next season call be surprised. There is no way this hangover vanishes over the summer, it could take years to shake off what has happened this year. Some people will never recover, we really need to ditch 90% of who have been involved in this year to stand any chance of building a relatable and competitive team in the coming years. If we're lumbered with many hanger-on-ers then we are screwed.

That maybe true but I can see the likes of Bednarek, Sulemana, Aribo and Tall Paul going abroad. Reckon THB will have no bother getting a PL side to pick him up, if not for a starting spot.

In other news, what on earth was the Gronbaek signing about? Hes even lesser spotted than Ross Stewart.

What is really worrying is that we need to offload most of these players and them putting in performances like that does nothing to help us.

If we get £20M back for Harwood Bellis we should accept immediately. 

Bednarek has been part of two relegations - he isn't good enough.

Stephens - one of the worst performances I've seen in a long, long time. He shouldn't have lasted the half.

I could do this with the rest of the squad but I'm too angry to do it.

There will definitely be a taker for Harwood-Bellis he’s very well regarded and will probably go on to have a decent career at a better club. Yet another example of throwing a young player into the premier league without experienced, decent players alongside them I’m afraid.

Pleased to see Lallana and Vardy having a chuckle at full time. Still, why should they worry. Still getting their big, fat salaries. This bodes well for next season. Those expecting a repeat of our last Championship stint, think again.

Even the 08/09 side was better and that was a squad of kids in administration. At least they ran, competed as best they could and tried even though they were even more out of their depth.

With the exceptions of Fernandes, Ramsdale and KWP, these players do not deserve to play for Southampton Football Club, the club, fanbase and stadium are far too big for them to handle. They need to move to easier leagues or League 1 and below more suited to their abilities and fitness.

Extremely harsh to judge people on the actions of those that came before them. It is rational to withold judgement until you see how they do.

Which players do you think are League 1 or below level? I don't think any of the first team are, bar perhaps Lumley. Very few of them are PL level (KWP, Ramsdale, Dibling,  Fernandes), most of the others are top half Championship level players. Certainly not League 1 or lower.

I think people were saying more that for what was a mid-lower Championship fee at the time 200 appearances and umpteen Poland caps isn’t the worst transfer we’ve done post-Koeman, one of the better ones. The fact Les Reed and Wilson were so seemingly so shitfaced that they paid £18m for Vestergaard and £17m for Wesley Hoedt 😂 underlines it.

Different team, manager and league next season, there’s no reason to think we can’t be decent. Sheff Utd fans probably said the same as you a year ago, they ended up doing the double over Wednesday this season.

Smallbone is only a Champ player in a central 3, he’s nowhere near Champ level in a 2. Downes is Champ but can he do it outside Martin-ball? Questionable. Stephens I think has regressed to top half League 1. BBD has been poor on loan at Sheff Utd and can’t get a start now. Stewart has only played 11 Champ games so certainly league 1. Bazanu - worst keeper in the Champ 23/24, error prone for Pompey in L1, there’s another. I’m not even sure Sulemana is a professional footballer. Runs fast, but so can Usain Bolt. Less end product than Evri. Larios - not suited to English football at any level. Manning wasn’t particularly good last season, actually bit better this, Nathan Wood lower Champ at most, probably closer to league 1. Not convinced about Sugawara defensively in the Champ, might be an Otsemobor.

Pelle got dogs abuse at the start, probably because he wasn't Lambert.

I reckon our current lot would easily lose 8-0 to that team, probably even more, as we're way, way, way worse than the Sunderland team of those years.
