Stewart actually looks like he might be useful next season at least - once he's got some match fitness and if he can stay fit...

Fuck was that touch from Smallbone 😂

"Smallbone will be a top, top player for this club" - Russell Martin

"I'm only happy when he's on the pitch".

Can someone just blast the ball into our own net to rob Everton of their player scoring the last ever goal?

That would involve a player putting in some effort though... Not gonna happen...

Ross Stewart will be our top scorer next season

Even when we'll have championship superstar Adam Armstrong back in the fold...? :)

With one goal, scored on the final day of the season after spending most of it injured. 😉

That was probably Stewart's sharpest game, if anyone wants to try and draw some sort of positive from that load of shit

Robinson and Sanda looked good too. Fuck this lot off and go full Poortvliet and Wotte next season.

A season full of friendly matches, we're almost at the end.

Maybe we'll be competitive next season, but I wouldn't be surprised if we're not. I have never seen such an uncompetitive and lower standard football team playing at this level.

Rusk a moron with the starting line up and not making changes at half time.
Robinson & Kayi Sanda did well when they came on.
Archer and Stewart gave us a better forward shape.
Wood and Stephens are horrifically bad CBs.

Decent last 20 when we got a forward on. Hate our 5-5-0 line up.

Everton deserved to win by more. Thought Stewart, Archer and Smallbone played well when they came on. Happy some kids got minutes.

One more game this season. Let us at least try to win.

Yet another game where we haven’t scored under rusk. Pathetic lack of intent. Just goes into games trying to keep the score down. He’ll be very pleased with today you wait . “Lots of endeavour, lots of effort” fuck off. We didn’t attempt even have an attacking plan or formation until the final 25 minutes

Well they sat back and were winning etc. But the last 20 were pretty good and I'll give us credit for not collapsing in the face of Everton wanting to sign off with more goals. I didn't see the very bad stuff that went before but can picture it given how bad we are.

Robinson hasn't had the attacking guile coached out of him and looks really promising. I like the look of a getting fit Stewart. Archer even tried. Get this done and we can hope again.

Glad that shit's over. In a game with no pressure on us Rusk should have shown some balls and started Stewart up front and had a real go instead of rolling over like pussies.

Poortvliet - 8 wins, 8 draws, 16 defeats, Wotte - 4 wins, 7 draws, 7 defeats, Saints relegated to League 1.

Really dissapointing that we didn't start with a focal point today. As soon as Stewart came on we had that. He was really good, quick and sharp. We should have started with a back four in a game like today. Archer did well when he came on and both Robinson and Kayi Sanda impressive too.

To celebrate Everton's last Goodison game, they managed to arrange an in-season friendly.

Everyone involved in analysing our opponents, tactics, coaching and sending out our side to play like that should hang their heads in shame. That was as gutless a performance from a team of professionals as I can recall, even by our very low standards.

We had an option of actually pushing Everton today. They are not Manchester City. But we're so scared and spineless now, that we preferred to let them dictate every aspect of the game.

We were second best across the park, to a team that is looking a lot better than they were because they have a proper football manager in charge of their club. Something that SR run away screaming from, because they would get found out. Instead, they allow our team to get found out every week.

Our bright spot was Robinson coming on. A player who hasn't spent enough time with the first team squad to have his desire and effort worn down.

Yeah...it was tongue in cheek mate.

I do hope we give more of an opportunity to those types of players though, the likes of Dibling should have been regularly off the bench last time we were down there.

Everton were on the beach second half. If they needed 5 to stay up or qualify for Europe they’d have got them. “Credit”? “Well done lads, credit for stringing a few passes together when the opposition were treating it like a friendly “…..
