Scoobysaint Posted yesterday at 19:47 Posted yesterday at 19:47 He didn’t even look at the keeper, just blasted it goalwards. No composure, no quality. 8

But yes, Cameron is fucking shit. Pity Jofra is in the ODI squad, could have got some running in and he’s no worse a footballer than Cameron or Downs. Mind you, Bristol and England cricketers doesn’t go well…
LGTL Posted yesterday at 19:47 Posted yesterday at 19:47 That shot from Archer was going over the fucking bar too. Absolutely pathetic finish.
Saint86 Posted yesterday at 19:47 Posted yesterday at 19:47 (edited) Archer showing why he is a far worse player than AA there. Need to replace him in January. All the fans liking that post saying he should be starting over AA... 😂 Edited yesterday at 19:48 by Saint86

Lighthouse Posted yesterday at 19:48 Posted yesterday at 19:48 I reckon if we sub off the entire back five at HT, there’ll be nobody left to play them onside. Gotta think laterally. 1
obelisk Posted yesterday at 19:48 Posted yesterday at 19:48 Fraser heads to their 'keeper from 8 yards.

I'm not saying he was at fault but that kind of mis hit happens all over the pitch and it part of the game. Just unfortunate it has happened there but still doesn't excuse the fact that Macca should have come out to close the player down and make the goal smaller for the player who was clean through 1 2
Willo of Whiteley Posted yesterday at 19:48 Posted yesterday at 19:48 Bristol City look poor. But then what does that say about us. 2
sockeye Posted yesterday at 19:48 Posted yesterday at 19:48 Armstrong is the equivalent of having a Yorkshire Terrier in attack
Wiggles31 Posted yesterday at 19:48 Posted yesterday at 19:48 That last move with the Fraser header sums up what we lack in this team. If we got the signing right we’d be top 6 at least. 1
Farmer Saint Posted yesterday at 19:48 Posted yesterday at 19:48 Howler at one end, missed easy chance at the other. Copy and paste into nearly any game from the past 3 seasons. As I have continually said, this is about players, not managers. 1
Saint_clark Posted yesterday at 19:48 Posted yesterday at 19:48 Really good play down the left to create a headed chance, shame it was Fraser who was on the end of it - straight at the keeper.

suewhistle Posted yesterday at 19:49 Posted yesterday at 19:49 Well, my final decision was go to training but now in the pub. I've seen two goals as well... The only consolation is that I'm in a Portsmouth supporting pub and they're on the other screen.🙂
skintsaint Posted yesterday at 19:49 Posted yesterday at 19:49 We should be a few goals clear here, really frustrating. 1

SouSaint Posted yesterday at 19:50 Posted yesterday at 19:50 Cameron Archer, £15,000,000. Well done Sport Republic. 👏 3 1
pingpong Posted yesterday at 19:50 Posted yesterday at 19:50 Bring downs on, give him another 45 mins - he can't be much worse and might win a couple of those 50 50 headers we seem to be going for in the middle of the pitch. 2

His style seems to rely on having some physicality up top. No way to achieve that with a pub player in Downs and Stewart who is made of glass. 1

AlexLaw76 Posted yesterday at 19:51 Posted yesterday at 19:51 (edited) HT Think we were bang average to be fair. Nice and tidy for much of the half, but pretty crap going forward. I still think the system is killing us. Immediately we have the extra player in defence, and we are pushing to overload the wide areas, all whilst we have players not suited to finishing crosses. Our chances came from the rare occasion when get the ball into the forwards in the middle of the park. But patters of play without winning the 2nd ball is to plod it wide. If Still has anything about him (Which I know he does not), he will change this up at HT. Get Fraser off for Fellows, push Edwards to RB and get Fellows making their LB face his own keeper. davefizzy14 Posted yesterday at 19:51 Posted yesterday at 19:51 We should definitely be leading at half time. Lovely goal from us but then we concede a poor one. We need to come out in the second half and grab a couple more. The game is there for the taking. COYR 😊

Saint Matty 76 Posted yesterday at 19:52 Posted yesterday at 19:52 Bristol City seem a bit more open than other teams we've played recently. Time to get Fellows and Azaz on to see why we spent the money.
obelisk Posted yesterday at 19:52 Posted yesterday at 19:52 Archer obviously missed the composed finish lecture this week.

Yeah, I reckon we should give the managers a say in who we sign rather than them having zero influence on player recruitment, as now....
Saint NL Posted yesterday at 19:52 Posted yesterday at 19:52 Granted I missed the first 20 mins, but Archer (until that miss) and Fraser were completely anonymous. Too many passengers in this team. But the performance seemed a bit better apart from the 5 mins of pants shitting after we scored. Our strikers are awful, I hope we practice some incentive corner routines because we are not going to score enough goals to go up
Gloucester Saint Posted yesterday at 19:53 Posted yesterday at 19:53 1 minute ago, skintsaint said: We should be a few goals clear here, really frustrating. So Johannes, why did you gamble on a Wessex League striker for £7m? Mind you, whoever signed Cameron Archer for £15m in the PL last summer should be executed in stocks in full view at the Bargate. 1
benjii Posted yesterday at 19:53 Posted yesterday at 19:53 We've played pretty well and a defensive fluff has given them a goal (which was a good finish, mind). I just think we need help Scienza out a bit. He's mint and just ghosts past his man every time. Get Fellows or Azaz on to play near him. 2

LGTL Posted yesterday at 19:54 Posted yesterday at 19:54 Scienza and Jander are really tidy players. They appear to be two decent signings. But we have absolutely fucked up massively with the striker situation. It’s a farce really as we’d comfortably be top 6, if not higher, if we had have addressed that properly. 2

Saint Scott Posted yesterday at 19:54 Posted yesterday at 19:54 I say it every game, 3 CBs is just completely pointless against teams that are going to sit deep. Get one off for a creative midfielder
HarvSFC Posted yesterday at 19:54 Posted yesterday at 19:54 We look better when we move the ball quickly, and don't ponderously pass it between our centre-backs. The goal came from quick play, one ball forward from Charles after THB won it back. The Archer chance and the Armstrong offside earlier in the game. Don't think we've created a chance from our centre-backs playing it between themselves. A regular theme of this season has been teams showing us a lot of respect at the start of matches. Then they start to sus out we aren't actually that good, so they press us a bit more and move a few more players forward and then we struggle to cope and get dominated. Still don't think we need three centre-backs against these low blocks, but then Still hasn't changed this in any of the games this season, so expect another dull 45. 3
