We'd be better with two wide full backs, two central defenders and an extra man in midfield. Wednesday strolling into acres of space must fancy their chances.

They’re the better side since their goal.

Similar problems. Wide open in midfield, acres of space for them to cross

Yep. We should be absolutely out of sight, but somehow keep finding even more cretinous ways to gift them chances.

The fact that Eckert thinks Baz is a better GK than McCarthy should be enough on its own to ensure he doesn't get the job.

First half we've looked like scoring more often.  But Sheff Wed will feel there is at least a point in this as our defence just lets them waltz through when they attack. Given our different budgets we should be miles away. But there isn't much between us I think.

Dunno about that. We've created a couple of good chances since then. The only time they've actually had decent chances is when we've passed to them.

Theyve made more passes in the attacking third than us. 8 crosses into our box.

The system is awful. Just no need for 3 CBs. They have acres to play into and only 1 striker.

We need an extra man in midfield and get tighter to them in the middle of the park

Well, it could be 5-3 at this stage. No idea what happens in the second half. We look so mentally fragile that it wouldn't take much to break us. Here's hoping....

We looked good going forward, but wood having a mare, and defence in general slow to react.  Baz keeping us in it with a couple of excellent saves, I've not read the comments on here yet but assume some humble pie being eaten! Think we'll score a couple more second half, actually fun to see us play the early balls more today.

Now I'm off to see what you lot said during the game...

I appear to be watching a completely different game.

And yet... every manager we have thinks this is a good way to set up.

Fucking weirdos.

Consecutive games we comfortably lead 2-0 then Bazunu makes a howler and takes away all our momentum. How much longer are managers going to pick him, watch him chuck goals in his own net then pick him again - we're back on the rinse and repeat cycle. Madness.

Genuinely think we’re worse with 3/5 at the back. Even against a terrible Wednesday side our midfield is stretched so there’s a big gap between the CMs and three CBs who are often mostly marking space. It’s bloody infuriating to watch time and again.

Who? We've only got a kid available, or Aribo who didn't look fit or interested the other night.

He's so absolutely fucking gash that he makes McA seem good.

Truth is we need a proper goalie. We can't keep going like this.

Good news is that another spawny win sets things up nicely for the incoming manager without clownforce considering Tonka for the job!

You say that…..

Bazunu is a fuckin joke

He is good with the ball at his feet though. That's why he gets picked. Might as well put an outfield player in goal who will be even better with his feet and probably a better shot stopper. Bonkers.

Baz did a lot wrong.

That wasn’t a difficult save for a championship keeper

That wasn't a difficult save for any keeper

His anticipation is dogshit, he never moves his feet and he can't get down to his left.

He is fucking appalling

I'd bring Matsuki on for a Centre Back - get another body in midfield where somehow we're losing the battle against a team that can barely pull a squad together. The 3 at the back always seem to get in each others way! Get Downes sitting deeper if need be, the extra body will have us dominate Wed. They can't handle Scienza and Fellows.

Good at passing though.

This. Instead of taking a step and making a simple save he seems to freeze then fling himself like an idiot.

The number of crosses that Saints allow the opposition is something that the new manager is going to have to address. Myself, I'd go 4 at the back with the full backs told that their job is to stop bloody crosses, especially with Bazunu in goal.

A fluke goal, an offside goal, and Captain Calamity lets in one that Jo Tessem said " A good goalkeeper saves that".

Not inspiring.

And yet it's a marked improvement on recent weeks 😂

Unfortunately this lot running our club fail to see the obvious.

Btw, Barry Bannan is 35 and he looks great at this level still.

Excited to see what Oriol can do

Against a non existent midfield.

Matsuki on for Bazuna for me. Rush keepers...

Let's hope he's a wonder boy because feels like a massive risk to put a 19 year old in centre mid for a game we need to win.
