I’m surprised it’s gone down to that level with 4 tickets per account for such a big game. Our support is underrated, we’ve sold out St Mary’s to STHs and 24 hours of members sale.

ITS TIME TO EXPAND ST MARY'S

actually really annoying we're leaving 1000 empty seats for this game because they can't amend away end to move segregation and sell more to our own fans

Agree, very annoying. We would sell them easily and every person helps make the atmosphere help the team. Crazy to me we can’t do something to make it work.

I was joking but crack on, you dont seem to mind all the freebies then ?

You have to forgive us for not recognising your "joke" as such. Maybe it's the fact you have spouted nothing but bile on every previous occasion that prejudiced us?

Anyway, tee hee hee at your "joke"

Wonder if they'll bother going 7,6,5 etc tomorrow and instead break it up more. Something like 4-1-all sth-members.

With blocks 52 and 53A being made available, there are still around 250 tickets available, they could well go for lower numbers required

I have three tickets available for Middlesborough.  Let me know if anyone is struggling, ideally someone who actually gets behind the boys.

I think there is an issue in that they are non transferrable E tickets, I'm having that trouble at the moment with someone who has offered me a spare.

F.Hallum is the ref. Have we had him before ??

He refereed the Coventry match, I think. He's done a few, and some Premier League matches, and is generally ok. I think a commentator said he's an ex player, one of the few, so he's a bit more thoughtful about decisions. We'll see though

He’s the guy who booked Azaz for diving at Stoke when he was fouled.

If you hadn't bought three tickets you didn't need others might not be struggling to get them... ;)

My mate had same issue and had to call up, apparently they've had a few not recognising away game count properly, might be the quick movement between windows. Give them a call, good luck

Thanks. They go home from the ticket office at 2pm on a Wednesday.... But I was able to get a ticket online 3 hours after first trying!!!

Not sure what is happening with the system but if you at first don't succeed in getting a ticket just keep on trying. 🙂

Nice one, on sale to 3 away games now, im surprised looks like tickets will be available, the ticket app might be putting off a few who usually buy for others

Reckon you're right about the ticket app. A play off game going so low says to me that there's lots of high pointers who buy every game regardless but don't go to them all.

How come you cant make it now ? You could have only got them on Monday at the earliest.

Hopefully they dont delay the arrival of our team coach, looks like they are encouraging Boro fans to show up early bound to have all the flares etc

Our lot need to get there and send them packing.

Bit weird that the club fannied around with countless slots for 24/23/22/20/18/aways when in reality it is virtually down to all ST holders anyway.

Probably could have saved two days selling time by selling them to ST plus 10 to start with.

Yeah and now fans who thought they had no chance suddenly realise they can get a ticket but very short notice to make arrangements to get up there , like Preston last week lots making the journey on Friday

I can, I was given an additional three through a contact. Wouldn’t miss it for the world.

Do we know for sure there will be no transfer option in the app? Probably wont be, but will make a difference for some , other option if its a good friend just get their login details and log back into the app as them

All tickets will be on the main users phone, so will have to meet up just before going through the turnstile and pass the phone back to the person behind you.

Im not sure thats right, tickets will usually appear in the app of each customer number if they have it set up, so I bought 3 tickets but only mine will appear in my app, the other two im expecting to be on the apps of the other customer numbers used

That’s exactly how it’s meant to be 👆🏻

Will they definitely be non transferable? What if a qualified supporter can't go and maybe they buy one for someone who can go but isn't technically qualified?

Like what has happened for every match since ever

Oh I don’t know then, when I bought my tickets for Wembley all 3 came to me for some reason despite being linked to members and I had to pass them back to the people I was with.

In the late 90s I remember we used to be behind the goal upper tier. I have been to Boro 4 times and seen us get 1 draw and lose the rest. Seem to remember us being 0-2 up and drew 2-2… actually we might have lost 3-2 or it just seemed like a loss.

A lot of people do get given tickets for away games as they have contacts.

Club info says they won't be transferable. The situation you describe is one of the reasons there's a big push for digital ticketing.

I came to the US and we were fifth, and ironically I’ll be landing back in the UK the day after the semi second leg 😢

Hoping that wifey is happy to take an early trip to the airport so I can find a stream, or a bar showing it.

Clearly many people find it more enjoyable, for a whole range of reasons it is more fun.  Of course winning helps, but its certainly not as black and white as that.  Being able to celebrate a goal without VAR checks alone beats everything the Premier League can offer for me.  Others don't mind VAR or some might even like it, but there are plenty of us who despise it.

So if we lose all our best players, end up down the line as middling or worse team, who lose more than they win, playing in front of a half full stadium, you’ll still be loving it because “no VAR”? Right…

Surely we’ll shift these tickets?  I was convinced I wouldn’t get one and I’ve ended up with three spares.

Are you able to transfer them via the app or have you been given physical tickets?

Im interested if there’s one going spare.

It's a crazy situation where they don't go on sale to members until after 11am this morning, it's been far too restrictive to try and sell tickets in such a short space of time. This window, where they'd have quickly sold out if it was earlier, leaves fans with little more than a day to sort travel and accommodation for a near 600 mile round trip and unhelpful early set-off for the lunchtime kick-off.

Tbf - given the size of the game I'm surprised its reached members. It is an absolute trek though, and it's so expensive to get there.

Update as of this morning...159 left

Yep and I think both official and Nicks coaches are full (showing unavailable), trains virtually impossible to do on the day so either need to make an overnight stay or long drive up.

I booked trains last weekend and prices were sky high already then , not an easy one to do

Tonda Presser….

  • Not preparing too much differently for the playoffs, does not require anything new
  • Nice to have the week to prepare
  • Does not hurt that Flynn is back, he was getting better and better before the suspension
  • He will as fresh as you can be this part of the season
  • Previous playoff experience can help up, the emotions, feelings and pressures
  • We have good experience with all other players though
  • We are a very different team compared to when we played Boro last
  • Now we are in the part of the season we don’t look back
  • It does not matter for previous games now
  • We need to focus on the job, not look forward not look back, just the next game
  • Earlier of the season was not easy for Flynn as he was unwell
  • The recent performances are a credit to him, he has been adjusting his habits and diets to get right
  • I have a very clear opinion on suspensions and would rather he was available previously
  • He will no doubt play a big part
  • Positive that we will have a full squad for the playoffs, with Jack and Matsuki available
  • We have not lost away since Boro away, but the process started before that game
  • We prepare, recover, train and live daily very well and it started before Jan
  • There have been bumps along with the way but the focus to keep going is there
  • We approach games slightly differently home v away. Sometimes it does make a difference
  • Team can feed off the energy of their home fans.
  • It is a quick turnover for us between the games
  • We do not approach games to draw, we play to win and will do everything to win
  • Boro are clear in the way they approach the game, if they catch a good day and flow they are a good team
  • We come from some good weeks and month and we must again show our strengths on the pitch
  • Maybe we play 2 strikers, maybe we don’t, maybe we need the size up front. We play on Sat with the best chance to win
  • We then go into the next game for the best chance to win. We don’t plan ahead
  • It is not about me and a new contract, there is only 1 thing we have done and that is staying focused on the job
  • We have a couple of meetings during the week, but we will not do this every day, one of the meetings will be about the playoff experience
  • Some players have not played in playoffs before but have played in front of big crowds in big games
  • We play against a very good side and we have to be at our very best
  • If we are I am sure we will compete
  • It is not just their front 3 that are dangerous, they set up for possession and high press
  • Once they get into the final 3rd, they are good.
  • We accept they have quality and we must defend and be brave
  • I do not want to go into detail about the last game up there
  • The whole football club in general is very different now, everything is different
  • The environment is different as we changed it all
  • There was not big event, or the transfer window, but lots of hard work
  • Hopefully the supporters are with us, and hope we do not need to look back
  • So happy to have Ben Garner around. He has been part of the changes.
  • I have done many years as the assistant so know the role, and it is very nice to have someone like him as he has been a manager also
  • He loves the game and prepares with lots of detail
  • Cyle has been massive for us, and it is up to Spors if he joins permanently
  • His composure and steadiness are great and we all very happy to have him here
  • We are constantly preparing for the future, this is not new but it is ongoing
  • We prepare for 2 scenarios, prepare for each direction, but that has been ongoing for months
  • We were always playing for promotion
  • Everything is different compared to my time are Barnsley
  • It was special there, but it was during covid so it was all empty
  • We have embraced the pressure, I have never looked away from it, Fulham away, Arsenal, City.
  • We embrace it all
  • No battle for Finn against their fans. He is so dedicated and drive for Southampton
  • You will rarely find a player like him who dedicates his life to succeed here
  • We go there to win and he is no different
  • McCarthy bac on the pitch and improving for him
  • Couple more games to play so we will see where he is
  • Very positive Jack and Matsuki will be available, very good sessions from them today.
