Whew! Thankfully the players aren't as nervous.

'Boro strong and keen to take advantage of any caution we came out with. And we did, with Ayling, Morris, Targett and Conway taking advantage of it.

 Their goal took advantage of Leo and Manning's preferred positions.

After their goal, they dropped that attacking pressure. It took us a while to swap possession for attacks, but it became more of our sort of game. 

Great to see Stewart driven to get on the end of that. He'd not have wanted his earlier miss on his mind. 

I thought we were going to be regretting Manning's miss, before Stewart got it.

Both 'keepers held on well to a shot each, too.

Ayling, not only crocked Leo, but lost his head. Had the ref not wandered off with their captain, and then off to the bench, I wonder if he would have talked himself into a second. 

All to play for (EFL sanctions, legal action and awards pending), and we've strengths from both.

I generally prefer Fellows on with Stewart and Matsuki with Larin. So, our normal subs will be interesting to see in how they change the game as a unit.

Just hope to see enough of Leo. Along with Ayling fouling him again, for a red.

Individually, Jander and Charles are doing okay, but they're not a partnership at all - the midfield is way too porous, for me.

Wouldn't mind Downes on for the peripheral Matsuki or Azaz and strengthen the middle. 

Got a sinking feeling Wood's stupid booking for dissent is going to play a part somewhere along the line...

Games like this don't come around too often. And although it's not a classic masterclass of football talent or skillful goals it is bloody exciting.

I feel like there's a lot hanging on not just winning, but HOW we win.  If it's a lucky 2-1, or goes to penalties, will make it much more tempting for the league to knock us out.  If we run over them 4-1, it's v different.  I know it prob shouldnt' make a difference, but I suspect it will.  So.... Now, Ayling was getting a card anyway, for the challenges. So, let's hope any further challenges don't hold him back. Whatever's in the report can get dealt with later.
