If we don't have a sea of inflatable bottles when we play Middlesbrough at home next season I'll be most disappointed... ;)

It's been said many times, but I just like seeing it so I'll say it again.

Top 2 for 217 days.

Finish 5th

Lose the playoff Semi Final over 2 legs.

Get reinstated into the final, despite losing the semi final.

Lose the final without a shot on goal in the 94th min.

First team in history to lose the semi final and the final.

Starting to think if I'd rather deal with the fallout from being caught with an iPhone behind a tree tbh.

Poetic justice if there ever was. Suck on that Steve Gibson and his North East media luvvies.

I take absolutely no pleasure in Boro not winning today.

Why so angry Neil Bausor? Did the corruption not pay off?

Did you see how pissed off Rick Parry and Trevor Birch looked as well. They tried so hard for their mate.

Dragan needs to invite some very muscular Serbian warlords into the Riverside boardroom next season  wearing sharp suits, designer sunglasses and gold teeth. And very menacing facial expressions. Even better, Arkan’s family members.

Mass fan camp out at Middlesbrough's training ground 72 hours before we play them away next season...? Who's with me...? 😂🕵🏼

A bunch of fans going up and streaming it live for public access on the internet would be brilliant...

Didn't he actually have a better PPG record than their previous manager? They were second when he took charge but wasn't that fairly early on in the season?

“Hello Phil? Yeah it’s me Gibbo, yeah Gibbo, you know the bloke from the boardroom up at Boro? Yeah I was just wondering if that offer of £10 million quid to keep quiet about all this was still available? Hello? Phil? Phil?…..”

Let’s be honest any team that gets bullied by ball boys and has a manager who cries in press conferences doesn’t really have much chance at the business end of the season

I wonder who they will stamp their feet at next season (other than the 2 games against us).

Hackney gone, other players who were on loan will go

Shame.

True, but let’s see what our squad looks like before concerning ourselves with theirs.

I'm on the North East all next week. Although Middlesbrough is not a destination, Sunderland and Newcastle, Stockton and Yarm will all be visited. I shall try to wear a saints shirt as often as possible and I expect I will be welcomed by most football fans from the region with a chuckle and a smile.

This might be the perfect picture.

Better than anything I could have hoped to see today.

Good old Boro, made my day that did. Mcburnie will never need to buy a beer in Southampton again.

Poor old Pompey, so irrelevant now they won’t even be the first fixture most of us look for next season now. BTW that winds them up when you tell them that.

And imagine how Bournemouth feel now as well

Haven't been keeping up with things today. Has Karen Gibson started legal proceedings against anyone yet to undo the final?

And to add insult to injury the "wonderful" Boro fans pelted the Hull team coach with stones and bottles, breaking one of the windows in the process. I wonder if they will be as angry as they were when saints fans threw a few empty plastic cups at the Boro bus before the semi. 🤔

As the saying (sort of) goes; let he who is without WIN cast the first stone 😁

Don't forget the fucking beach ball that hit the Karen Coach. That was proper dangerous.

They could've had someone's eye out with that... 😁

Or rebounded into the path of a small child and brought them joy.

Theory on twitter is that Boro could be headed towards some real financial bother, another season in the Champ could scupper them

Shame if true

That would be the worst thing that could happen to such a wonderful club and it's fantastic fanbase...

This can’t be true. Gibbo is the best chairman in the country he would never let this happen

It’ll probably still be our fault 😂

The stress of the week will have distracted from the game in hand. This short notice meant it always always going to be tough. And they were playing the tigers, how can you expect them to beat 11 tigers? How is that fair?

Just like it was a long way home last week 😭

Imagine having to travel nearly 20 hours and nearly 1000 miles to lose a semi final and a final

Hope Gibbons loses his shirt on all the legal fees that must be winding their way to him. What a fucking loser.

i was listening to a Boro supporter who phoned into Talksport (brave soul). Was complaining that their Manager insisted on playing Pep style possession and didn’t move the ball forward enough to create chances. And I’m thinking, oh you mean like Saints did under our previous 3 managers leading to a relegation and near 2nd relegation before Tonda came in?!? Perhaps you shouldn’t have spied on us?  🤣🤣🤣

Just walked past Wembley Stadium (I was up here for the football, but it got cancelled) and saw a sign congratulating Hull City.

Did I miss something?

Been out all day.

And to the person who first wondered who the first team to lose a semi (oo er) and a final would be; you sir, must be the scion of Nostradamus.

Any chance you fancy doing some spying, oops, observing for us in the near future? I hear we might have a vacancy. Take that with a pinch of salt, if you wish.

Now off to read the Sunderland/Newcastle and other teams' forums.

It's exactly one of the reasons they stitched us up (ok we did it to ourselves but they certainly played their part) because Gibson knew if they didn't get promoted, they are fucked.
