Lewis Hornby would be a model target man for the Champ and a move to get in train. Whether he could score at the scale Saints need is another story. I’m sure they’ve gauged his potential.

Think there are other alternatives out there who could do the same job but at a more competitive cost of transfer fee... think Pedro Lima, Demir Peco, or even Graham Farish for that matter.

Knowing our luck with strikers it would be a OO draw…..

I know it's the world cup but would be nice to have a few rumours to chew over.

What about trying to sign that Argentinian guy who’s scoring goals for fun.

Messy something?

As long as he puts a shift in. No room for passengers in Tonda's system.

I’m looking for some fire in our engine room but agree need to be on guard against any passengers. Hornby could be the ticket or the pearl in our oyster.

Apparently we’re looking at a 4-6-0 formation.

Sorry, the wheels have come off.

I do find it interesting how you can carbon-date posters on here by the jokes they tell. Did not know, e.g., that GS was a grandad.

Yes, I was chuckling at that. Just like supporting Saints I blame my dad.. I had Marklin, a friend in the village, she had Fleischmann. Plus both sets of grandparents coming from Eastleigh it was inevitable..

No Verbal! I said carbon-date, not carbonite....

Ah well, there goes another poster...

Hornby would likely Revell a season in the Championship.

Oi! Only 50 next year 🙂

But yes, for some people that would the age to have their first grandchildren.

I know it’s hot atm but you need to go chill your brain.

No just pragmatic and see his end of season vs whole season perception barometer being out of whack. We've already got Downes/Bragg for his largely defensive role, so if we need to cash in big(like we did with Dibling last year) he could be a prime candidate

I quite like the idea of Fraser Hornby taking up Ross Stewart's spot - replacing a 6ft 2' beanpole with a 6ft 5' brick shithouse.  Could be interesting if he gets on the pitch with Larin at the same time - always a chance of the Bravehearts with a big Jock.

A sure sign that a thread has hit the buffers.

Yep. A few people have been getting ideas above their station, and this rumour seems to have given them the perfect platform to do it.

Could be times when things aren't going well that he just has to solder on ...

Rumours of Fernandes leaving west ham and going to Spurs....

So that's Man United, Real Madrid and Spurs all interested. Let's hope for a bidding war

Is the rumour true that we will try and get Thomas the Frank engine in, if Eckert gets a long suspension bridge ?
