Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn.

Somebody wake me up when there is actually some PROPER DEVELOPMENTS.

TBF i have never heard Fry actually come out with a statement like this, and would not have thought he would be allowed to state this if not true.

So in that case. It's great news

Surely if other bids are coming in that may be more than that of those he is in discussions with, he can't remain committed to them, can he ?

How long can he keep walking away from advanced talks to talk to other bidders though ??

If they were serious they would have got bids in much sooner, this is so late in the day now they MUST be chancers.

I think he can - bird in the hand and all that. People can promise all kinds of things to spoil a deal in the making and then renege /reduce when they get their chance. Fry knows this.

So looks as though the rumours were true and it will all be done by monday then.

Hopefully we will be able at long last to leave the whole sorry saga that has been the past 5 years well and truely in the past.

There will be no hangers on from the old regime except Wotte. Maybe they will move him back to his old role once it is all sorted.

I think this is good news. Obviously there are still a few i's and t' but it seems, to me, that they are close to a deal, money is on the table, no worry regarding the -10 points, and the football league have already stated their position so it's a jolly long weekend with a lot of finger pushing on Monday to see the deal sealed.

I hope, I hope, I hope, I hope, I hope, I hope, I hope, I hope, I hope, ad infinitum.

Sounds positive. For the first time, i'm projecting cautious optimism into his photo on the OS, not the butt-clenched, gallows grimace of a man who has no idea what to do with us

The good times are nearly back. Maybe one day I'll even be able to look back at this period with fondness. All the drama - has certainly made the dead summer months pass alot quicker.

Insolvency Administrators are notoriously cautious so for Fry to say he is 'confident' a sale will be concluded shortly, means its as good as signed. The re-appointment of Mark Wotte and Michael Svensson could only have been done with the Adminstrators agreement, so things must have been moving in the right direction all week.

Why? MW has had an existing contract amended and MS is working for free.

Only just logged on after being away from internet this afternoon.

I have heard that they have made the £12.5m bid, but Fry is saying he can see any of three completing - but in order of most likely

1) overseas investment group I mentioned before, base in Monacco

2) Swiss

3) these new ones

But all positive and professional so could go for any and would be happy (Fry) with any.

SFC are not linked or governed by Fry ... Fry is administrator of SLH of which SFC are an asset as well as other things such as the ground Jacksons Farm etc. Agreement with Wotte has been by the directors of SFC who are not controlled by Fry.

Please. Give it up with the faux ITK ness. Read Fry's statement - "we are committed to getting the sale completed with our current buyer"

1) you are wrong

2) I don't pretend as other will tell you

3) why don't you log off forum and watch OS for updates if that all info you want.

Nah. Your posts have slipped into that "I am being told" carp - which funnily enough, is usually the diametric oppostite of what is happening. Im not interested in your "who knows more people and sources" pi ssing contest.
