Indeed there are some good players out there.

Bree at Charlton (scored yesterday). Brereton Diaz (scored a cracker for Derby) young prospect in League One (Ballard at L Orient scored) and another young defender, Thierry Small who is playing well at the back for Preston NE.
Then there is a well regarded Manager at Charlton who is performing well in the Championship.

Yep. Didn’t pick him at Forest and he’s not gonna pick him at West Ham.

I think JWP can easily be added to the list of players who haven’t progressed how they’d want to after leaving Southampton.

JWP will be on the move in January I reckon. Big call from Nuno not just to bench him but drop him. Maybe he can make his family happy and join the Skates in the not so distant future.

Ramsdale left to sit on the Newcastle bench, Dibling left to sit on the Everton bench and Fernandes and KWP left to get another relegation in a far more toxic atmosphere.

I feel JWP peaked while at Saints with more aggressive approach and excellent free kicks but then the free kicks tailed off and his open play tended to be sideways plus he wasn't much of a tackler at the end of his time with Saints.

He may be a bottom half PL player but he’d still walk into any Championship team. As it happens he’ll probably end up on loan to someone like Brentford or Wolves in January.

Then we’ll have him back on a free when he’s proper finished and his contract’s up. Give him a 3 year deal in which time he’ll score a grand total of two free kicks. And because he’s a good bloke, he can join the coaching staff and sit there with the badge kissing wanker.

All very Saintsy of us.

I went to West Ham v Palace last weekend (Potter’s last game) and watched JWP with interest - he spent 90 minutes going tidily side to side. Potter would have been very happy with his possession stats. Looks a perfect fit for the current Rangers team…. 

 

(And I definitely wouldn’t want him back)

As did Jason Puncheon. Nice part of the world to finish your playing career off in! It is funny to see Pafos playing Bayern though. Like David vs Goliath.

West Ham's relegated Saints all stars not looking good. KWP and JWP both dropped, Fernandes playing poorly and fans questioning the money they spent on him. Could be bottom soon.

Fernandes said he found the season draining - I wonder how he will cope emotionally if they fall adrift?

Ironically, Forest (under Nunes) wanted to sign Fernandes too.

I see that Tyler had his first start in the Premier league for Everton today. It didn't seem to go brilliantly and he was replaced at HT. Already some grumbling on the Everton forum about him. I was never totally convinced that he was a £40m player, but at his age it's very difficult to judge. Will be interesting to see how he gets on this season & beyond.

For every squad player, all you can do is make the most of your chance when you get it. Was watching Tyler Dibbling first half and thought he looked like he was waiting for the game to come to him, never got himself involved. Alcaraz was night and day when he came on. Chased everything...

100th ranked Belarus got 20 shots on Scotland's goal. Belarus much more attacking, having heard that Scotland had players who had turned out for Southampton and Norwich in it.

2-1 and both had efforts in the net ruled out.

Does Minamino count as a 'defector' if only ever on loan here? 

Scored the first goal for Japan as they overturned being 2-0 down for their first ever win over Brazil.
