What is wrong with America

To be fair, the one where sleepy Joe just wanders off is quite amusing.  Like a grandad that just doesn't give a shit!

Why? It's clear he heard the intrusive chiming music during his wifes speech and went off to deal with it. The vast majority of the carp he posts up is just misrepresenting situations, not genuine gaffes.

Because he looked like a grandad that just didn't give a fuck.

I get it, he's been misrepresented in a short, edited clip, but it was quite amusing. Your life seems pretty dull and humourless as you never really find anything funny.

I also quite enjoyed the front pages of the Star where they (mis)represented Boris in a clown costume with clown make up on as I could see the humour in it, but deep down I knew he wasn't really a clown performing in a big top.

Lighten up man.

It’s part of a consistent campaign of disinformation by the Trumpists to portray him as senile so that they can bring back somebody who tried to overthrow democracy in the US. And you go along with it and find it funnny . I’m not surprised

There are plenty of snippets and memes poking fun at The Donald - mind you, the best examples of it simply when he opens his mouth.

This is the nature of modern Politics, and Alexei is just one example of a brainwashed troll filter feeding from Twitter, without the ability to think creatively or make considered contributions drawn from his own intellectual capabilities.

Partly agree. Individuals caricaturing  politicians based on their own humour or thoughts is healthy. But this whole sleepy senile Joe thing is a very deliberate very organised campaign which is then picked up by useful idiots

Leaders in the western world are there to be poked fun at, yes?
Christ, without checking I’m sure you or others  have laughed at Boris/Trump for situations that are stretching the truth.

When Starmer/next president gets in, I’m sure the same schtick will be used against them and their administrations

Broadly yes, and with the UK context I’m fine with it because whilst I can agree/disagree with each of the main three parties, I don’t feel that they threaten democracy and are not extremists, even if some of the rhetoric gets that way at times.

In the States, in recent years this has changed. Trump and the current batch of Republicans are totalitarian and facist white supremacy driven, very clear from the events of the inauguration which was a violent coup attempt from Trump’s scum followers. You’ve only got to look at the volume of Nazi and other far right symbols the mob were wearing eg Proud Boys. They present a serious threat to internal US freedoms, and global stability. Another reason why NATO needs to really step up the heavy weapons to Ukraine, imagine how Donny will rally for Putin, who owns him.

Biden ain’t all that but he isn’t a despot. And Trump is senile and as dangerous as Putin. The West, especially the media, has to grow a pair and call out Trump and the Republicans for what they are, until the latter dumps Trumpism and reforms into a centre right democratic body again.

Isn’t there stil hope that DeSantis will be Republican nominee? Amazing that US accepts such old politicians who inevitably age catches up with.  Trump will be 78 in 2024 although not too many brain cells to become more addled.

I wouldn't call DeSantis a hope, he's just as evil as trump, he just looks more acceptable.

THe GOP

Until the GOP succeed in dumping the MAGA loons this type of candidate is all they will come up with.

The GOP don't want to ditch the MAGA loons, they make up a huge portion of their voters. At this stage the Republican party is basically a cult.

Trump is evil and stupid. DeSatan is evil and bright, a scary combination. The good news is he has all the charisma of a wet lettuce, and in a free and fair election would have little chance here of winning. The bad news is the US doesn't have free and fair elections (not rigged in the Trump sense, but rigged by losers being able to win with millions fewer votes, as well as massive numbers of votes being thrown out by state Republican legislators in the name of "voter fraud").

A quote from a Republican MAGA fanatic in a report on candidates campaigning in Arizona;

"I could do research, but the internet lies," she adds. "So if Trump is saying they're a good person, that's all I need to hear."

To be fair, there are plenty of lies on the innernetz.  Mind you, so does Trump.

Given a choice between the Internet and Trump she chooses Trump. Elsewhere in that story anothe MAGA loon says anybody testifying against Trump at the Jan 6th hearings is a Communist.

The man's a complete cunt and deserves everything that comes his way. Unfortunately if his worth is as high as the $270 million that's being quoted then the damages he has to pay won't be seeing him down at the food bank any time soon.

2 more lawsuits pending.

The piece of shit is claiming he's broke. Plus he'll drag this through appeals courts for years and years, basically what Dotard has done his whole life.

The USA has a serious issue.  The extremists are driving the agenda, we have all rightly condemned Islamic fundamentalists and Putin yet it seems the clear and present danger is from within, right wing Christian/conservative fundamentalists.  It denies democracy, it usurps the law and it belittles personal choice, it looks like, sounds like and behaves like Germany 1932, very scary.

Fucking hell, Trumps going to piss it if they put this clown up again. Simple things like putting on a coat & riding a bike seem beyond him.

He hasn’t been indicted for holding on to nuclear secrets or started an armed  coup yet though so that’s nice.

Biden may not be the sharpest tool in the box but this clip is fairly desperate. He's clearly gesturing to the people to his right.

Of course he is, his hand is open and flat. Good grief do people actually believe this crap?

Yes but we know Duckie's views on Brexit so he clearly believes any old crap.

Saw him say he was 57 in some thread the other day which is clearly bs as he talks about working in the 70s. Maybe he is a senile old bastard?

Pathetic how the left-leaning BBC is portraying Liz Cheney as some sort of martyr by showing practically the whole of her concession speech after the lovely Wyoming people booted her.

TRUMP 2024! Save America!

We should be charging these foreign cunts to watch the BBC

Heaven help the rest of the World if that gormless umpah lumpah gets back in.

I don’t buy it.

He’s seems to struggle with the complicated nature of  handshakes.

And Trump can't drink from a bottle, or even string a coherent sentence.

Surely the main thing to conclude from this is the sorry state of US Politics, if these are the 2 leading candidates.
