Is this based on 'International honours' or something? Shows what nonsense that all is really. Ings below Elyounoussi, Aribo above KWP - pointless site. 1
OnceaSaintalwaysaSaint Posted 22 September, 2023 Posted 22 September, 2023 It's some kind of joke but had a laugh reading it. On a more serious note, Joe against Ipswich looked good for 10 minutes then faded into oblivion. It's a concern that RM thinks he can can play a defensive midfield role. He really shouldn't be anywhere near the team.

Elyounoussi is an energetic and attacking player who likes to run at defenders with speed and power. He is also known for excellent dribbling skills which enable him to create chances for teammates from close range or from distance. In recent seasons he has developed a reputation as a clinical finisher inside the box. 🤣 Edited 22 September, 2023 by S-Clarke 6

He's too lazy to play in such an important position. Someone else mentioned it, but he's a luxury player. He'd look good in sides who dominate and win every game, but in sides where it's not as straight forward and you lack strength/midfield options, then he is just pointless.

Maggie May Posted 22 September, 2023 Posted 22 September, 2023 He’s up there as one of our worst ever signings. 3 1
Osvaldorama Posted 22 September, 2023 Posted 22 September, 2023 Starting him in a central midfield role with smallbone & Adam Armstrong is a sackable offence on its own imo. Just totally ridiculous management 3
saintant Posted 23 September, 2023 Posted 23 September, 2023 RM was full of praise for his performance against Ipswich - on that basis he may start today. 1 1 1

Dman Posted 17 October, 2023 Posted 17 October, 2023 I wonder if we could see him in the 'false 9' role that Charly has been playing in recently. Done a similar role, with a degree of success at Rangers.. 1 1

saintant Posted 16 December, 2023 Posted 16 December, 2023 Joe has put in some strong performances lately and we are beginning to see the best of him now. He is becoming a key player for us and I think there is a lot more to come from him as he has bags of skill and tricks which we are now seeing from him. 6

Had some good and some bad moments at Coventry but was very decent today. You can see why Martin likes him, he is pretty good at keeping the ball.
S-Clarke Posted 16 December, 2023 Posted 16 December, 2023 I don't think he ever gave the ball away today, really sensible use of it, and he has the stature to keep hold of it in situations where others may loose it. Technically a very good player, seemed to put on a press as well at times today which I don't think I've seen from him before. 2

He was great today and to see him really making an effort to chase the ball was excellent. Like you say I've never seen that from him. The manager deserves credit for inspiring that in a player who has seemed lazy beforehand. 3

I'm not sure two or three decent performances means he is a key player. I certainly hope that is what he becomes but let's not go overboard.
Patrick Bateman Posted 16 December, 2023 Posted 16 December, 2023 He was decent again today, I like that he has a little physicality about him to muscle others off the ball. 3

His style of play was never going to suit Ralph’s high press or Jones long ball so no wonder we didn’t see much from him last year. I quite rated him at rangers so hopefully we can start to see more for him now. 5

To be fair to him, he no longer runs around as if he's dragging a tractor tyre and yesterday, he held the ball up well, saw some good passes and even made intelligent runs in to spaces which weren't necessarily seen but could have broken their lines with the right pass. He's definitely starting to have an impact in our team.
Guest Posted 17 December, 2023 Posted 17 December, 2023 He was very good today, can see why he’s picked, big and gangly - but limited in terms of ability let’s not kid ourselves. He is a poor player, a couple of performances against worse opposition won’t change that. But nonetheless you have to say he did what was expected today and did it well. Maybe he’s found his level.

Well, we all see players differently but, in terms of ability, I think he's one of the best talents at the club.

Certainly not limited in ability, probably one of our best technical players at the club. You only have to watch him to see his touch and manipulation of the ball to see that. He lacks pace, but his technical ability has always been one of his positives. 1

Me too, and he uses it very well without the ball in terms of closing down and pressurising oppo players. Done very well last few games and midfield appears much more solid with him in there.

Dark Munster Posted 17 December, 2023 Posted 17 December, 2023 He seems to be much better since shaving off his hair. Maybe it makes him more aerodynamic? 2
davefizzy14 Posted 17 December, 2023 Posted 17 December, 2023 Aribo was quality yesterday. So powerful and strong. His technical ability is one of the best at the club
saintant Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 This guy absolutely oozed class today. That was a top performance epitomised by his hand in Fraser's second goal. My MoM and if he carries on playing like that he'll be one of the first names on the team sheet. 5

The Cat Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 Was funny when they played Gold on the tannoy after he scored and everyone sang along. He's done well to come back from being left out by multiple managers, get his head down and work hard to get back in the team. 4
OnceaSaintalwaysaSaint Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 Ever since he cut his hair, he has played better. Perhaps he can now see what he's doing. When asked about his A-r-i-bo chant today, he said it's the first time he's heard it! He's evidently taken the cotton wool out of his ears as well! No wonder he's playing so well now 😀 1 1

pimpin4rizeal Posted 30 December, 2023 Posted 30 December, 2023 I’m so so impressed with arribo atm. Fantastic again yesterday great blend of power and technical ability I think he’s gonna be a key key player for us in the run in .. Got me thinking I think our best eleven at the moment probably is with him or alcaraz as a false 9 arribo played here for rangers too .. arribo alcaraz and stuey just all need to be starting right now for me .. they give us so much creativity in the middle

Dusic Posted 17 February, 2024 Posted 17 February, 2024 Was really good off the bench yesterday and clear RM trusts him because he is strong on the ball and makes good decisions. Once Downes is back I think him and Smallbone are competing for a place in the first choice XI. 1
Lighthouse Posted 17 February, 2024 Posted 17 February, 2024 His style of touch, control and poise on the ball remind me a bit of De Ridder for some reason. Excellent performance from the bench yesterday. 1 3
