Clearly Brendon Rodgers over looked that fact when Liverpool signed both but seldom had them both on the pitch at the same time. As far as I'm concerned Rodgers signed Lambert as he knew he would come to his boyhood club, and it would make it more likely he would then sign Lallana. He never had any intention of playng SRL regularly and easily cut his career short by a season or two, something I will always hate the big nosed cunt for.. The young lads would have looked up to him and SRL could also have had some involvement with the first team. It would have created some real goodwill with the fans and wouldn’t have cost the club huge money either. What a wasted opportunity. This is the problem with social media and all this crap, it is not balanced and they all sit there agreeing with each other.
