Absolutely mad his relationship with Alex McCarthy.

Completely froze him out at Saints until the final six weeks of the season, he was poor then and he hasn’t improved in the past two years of being third choice. 😂

I think it's fair to say that the Leicester fans have not exactly taken Macca to their hearts quite yet

Blimey, a selection of comments on Alex McCarthy...

Chelmofox:

Where the f4ck have we dragged this lunatic from.

I have never seen such a slow Goalkeeper. His legs move in slow motion. So many hospital passes today, ,and so predictable when playing out the back.

Ian Nacho:

Gash. Makes Begovic look like Buffon.

orangecity23:

If prisoners can get released half way through a 2 year sentence for good behaviour, is there any chance that if we behave ourselves, this clown can be gone in a few months instead of having to wait the whole 2 years?

fazzyfox:

He…………..likes…………..to……………spend…………a……………lot……….:..of………………..time……………..clearing…………the……….,,,,,,ba….oh s**t!

Of all the keepers to sign from us Macca clearly was the least suited to Martin's propagandaball.

Shows what an utter melt Martin is

Funny how things work out. A couple of seasons ago, Martin was plying his trade in the Prem while sending a player like Shea Charles off to a Club who are now in League 1.   They've passed like ships in the night....found their respective levels.

The comments both about and from Martin at Leicester are complete déjà vu. They could be taken from any point in our PL season, or his time at Rangers. He hasn’t learned or changed a single thing and they have absolutely seen through him after two games.

They will go on a good run soon, they just have better players than most of the division..

However....

Too far gone? They were only one goal down going into the second half (albeit down to 10 men)... On what planet is that "too far gone"...? 🤦🏻😂

If you notice he's got more 'product' in his hair so it's stiffer and he avoids the temptation to play with it. Wait until it gets windy or he goes back to the vegan light touch gel.

They're loving him up there..quote from one of his new LFC fans:

'Exactly! The thing people need to remember is that Brussell ball takes one element of the possession orientated game and just runs with it. Why invert one full back, surely 2 is twice as good. Why bother with 65% possession - 75% is exponentially better. You wont lose the ball in midfield if you retain it in defence and start your moves from there. Have loads of wingers (and dont let them play more than 60 minutes), and ensure they only recycle the ball through the middle.

I hate this callout that 'we simply cant afford the team Martin needs'. His vision of the game has proven, time after time, to not work - and no budget will fix that. He is not some underappreciated genius just missing a slice of excellent recruitment. He is a massive fraud, and its an insult to football to even associate his version of the game with those who have made possession oriented systems work.

Unless he adapts fast (and all evidence suggests he cant), his career is over. And i couldn't care less about him, i care about where we are at right now.'

I agree it's weird how we are still talking about him down here but some of the crap that man inflicted on us, and the drivel that came out of his mouth still makes me shudder.

Thing is if he fails at Leicester he's finished. Who the hell is going to appoint him if this doesn't work out.

He'll probably make a lovely career spouting a load of old pony on Sky Sports.

I’ve said previously he’ll gravitate to next stop - MK Dons, unfinished business type of bollocks.

But his spiritual home is probably Forest Green Rovers working with Dale Vince as another green eco warrior.

Surely lego is drinking in the last chance Vegan juice bar as far as his career is concerned. Maybe should have retired after the play off final, what’s his win % since then?

7 wins in 36 matches I think  so less than 20%.

But look at the amount of scar tissue he's worked on at the crisis clubs he's taken over. The processes he's put in place, the man management that has turned those players lives around. Broadening their horizons form thinking of themselves as footballers to seeking careers outside the game due to a collapse in form and ability. 🙂

Win percentage, that's not how you judge true footballing excellence. You know that.

Got to love a sweet possession pie chart.

Don't forget % of completed passes, ( particularly backwards ).
