Willo of Whiteley Posted Saturday at 21:16 Posted Saturday at 21:16 Absolutely mad his relationship with Alex McCarthy. Completely froze him out at Saints until the final six weeks of the season, he was poor then and he hasn’t improved in the past two years of being third choice. 😂 1

Chelmofox: Where the f4ck have we dragged this lunatic from. I have never seen such a slow Goalkeeper. His legs move in slow motion. So many hospital passes today, ,and so predictable when playing out the back. Ian Nacho: Gash. Makes Begovic look like Buffon. orangecity23: If prisoners can get released half way through a 2 year sentence for good behaviour, is there any chance that if we behave ourselves, this clown can be gone in a few months instead of having to wait the whole 2 years? fazzyfox: He…………..likes…………..to……………spend…………a……………lot……….:..of………………..time……………..clearing…………the……….,,,,,,ba….oh s**t! 6

Shows what an utter melt Martin is 1

A couple of seasons ago, Martin was plying his trade in the Prem while sending a player like Shea Charles off to a Club who are now in League 1. They've passed like ships in the night....found their respective levels. 5
SaintsBarry74 Posted Sunday at 05:37 Posted Sunday at 05:37 Hands down the worst manager I’ve ever watched relative to the resources he’s had at his disposal. A con artist. 2
Midfield_General Posted Sunday at 06:59 Posted Sunday at 06:59 (edited) The comments both about and from Martin at Leicester are complete déjà vu. They could be taken from any point in our PL season, or his time at Rangers. He hasn’t learned or changed a single thing and they have absolutely seen through him after two games. https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/topic/139532-russell-martin-confirmed-as-first-team-manager/page/76/#comments Edited Sunday at 07:00 by Midfield_General 2

Willo of Whiteley Posted Sunday at 07:50 Posted Sunday at 07:50 Alex McCarthy got a two year contract!?!

Wait until it gets windy or he goes back to the vegan light touch gel.

Oldandtired Posted Sunday at 10:01 Posted Sunday at 10:01 They're loving him up there..quote from one of his new LFC fans: 'Exactly! The thing people need to remember is that Brussell ball takes one element of the possession orientated game and just runs with it. Why invert one full back, surely 2 is twice as good. Why bother with 65% possession - 75% is exponentially better. You wont lose the ball in midfield if you retain it in defence and start your moves from there. Have loads of wingers (and dont let them play more than 60 minutes), and ensure they only recycle the ball through the middle. I hate this callout that 'we simply cant afford the team Martin needs'. His vision of the game has proven, time after time, to not work - and no budget will fix that. He is not some underappreciated genius just missing a slice of excellent recruitment. He is a massive fraud, and its an insult to football to even associate his version of the game with those who have made possession oriented systems work. Unless he adapts fast (and all evidence suggests he cant), his career is over. And i couldn't care less about him, i care about where we are at right now.' I agree it's weird how we are still talking about him down here but some of the crap that man inflicted on us, and the drivel that came out of his mouth still makes me shudder. 1 3

But his spiritual home is probably Forest Green Rovers working with Dale Vince as another green eco warrior. 1 2

But look at the amount of scar tissue he's worked on at the crisis clubs he's taken over. The processes he's put in place, the man management that has turned those players lives around. Broadening their horizons form thinking of themselves as footballers to seeking careers outside the game due to a collapse in form and ability. 🙂

Fair play to Leicester fans - they’ve seen through him remarkably quickly. Admittedly, his final spell with us and the Rangers disaster provided plenty of warning signs, but neither Saints or Rangers fans were picking his football apart like this after two games. Rangers fans were mostly just throwing insults around. Leicester fans are already setting out precisely why he’s such a fraud.
AlexLaw76 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago How long before he starts to sarcastically clap the fans? Next home game I bet. 1

He already sent the players out to do a lap and get booed while he hung back after Burton Albion. Not quite the rapid tunnel escape of his Saints days but getting there.
suewhistle Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Wasn't there a Leicester fan, a sensible one, who used to visit these forums? I'd love to have his perspective and although we naturally have a little schadenfreude for their plight quite a lot of sympathy now!
Toadhall Saint Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Russel Martin is a useless prick that cannot get a tune out of anyone. What he did with us does not count as he had the best squad in the league and in effect could not fail - although he very nearly did. He was in all probability the worst manager we have had and is certainly the worst Rangers have had. I honestly feel sorry for the Leicester fans as we (and Rangers fans), unlike them know what is coming. He is a charlatan and worse one that will not admit to his own failings so is prepared to hang everyone and everyone out to dry.
LiberalCommunist Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago If he can't learn and adapt in L1, then it really is over for him.
Willo of Whiteley Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago There was a discussion on Sky a little hole ago asking the question of whether this was the last chance saloon for him in terms of real management. 😂
