The story I heard was that Rupert asked the scouts/goal keeping coach (?) about him and they immediately replied 'He's crap'. So RL asks 'how do you know?'.

'It's my business to know'.

And as we know, Rupert ignored any such advice..  You do wonder if that still happens?

Last three or four games most of his long goal kicks have gone straight into touch to collective sighs from the crowd.  Maybe his passing visionary skillset is limited to the 18 yard box or he needs spectacles.

It makes absolutely no difference who is in goal, even Ramsdale at times was made to look ordinary by our woeful defenders. Neither Baz or McCarthy are great but if we are going to share the blame for the amount of goals we concede then give our defenders as much shit as we give our goalkeepers because our back line are bloody awful. There is not a single defender that has crowned themselves in glory the last 2 seasons.

No offense but that’s nonsense. We were in the PL last season. There’s a huge drop off in the quality in opposition attack now. A semi decent goalkeeper would make a huge difference in our promotion attempt compared to the current poor (Macca) and disastrous (Baz) choices.

No offense but you have just proved my point that our defence continues to be utter crap at defending and despite the huge drop off in the quality in opposition attack now our defence continues to be largely absent when it comes to defending!

where did i say that??!!!

I said our entire defence is crap including the goal keepers!! Why just single out the keepers when our defenders are abysmal and have been for 2 seasons.

I've seen the argument that the defenders have no confidence with the keeper behind them. Do you not think that goes both ways and the keepers have no confidence with the inept defenders in front of them!

For Norwich's second goal the cross is in the air for around 3 seconds so no reason for Bazunu to be rooted to his line rather than coming out to catch or punch it. I'm pretty sure in those 3 seconds he could have taken the few steps and jump but no, he'd rather stay glued to his line.

I'm struggling to understand your point? We already know he is poor and we need better.

Do i need to start reeling off every defensive cock up by our defenders, every time one of them has failed to track back, failed to even jump for the ball, fail to attempt to block a shot, completely fail to stop crosses coming into the bos when they know their fellow defenders will get out jumped because they have lead in their boots!!!

NO ONE (Hardly) IS DENYING WE NEED A NEW KEEPER but for the love of god recognise we have an absolute shit defence!

I don't dispute the fact that we have a shit defence and have advocated elsewhere that we need to get rid of them all bar THB and that includes the goalkeepers.

I agree with the point you are trying to make about our defenders, but starting out with "It makes absolutely no difference who is in goal" is a little over the top. A better keeper, more commanding of his area, would help our fragile defence. It won't fix it, but it would be a big help, and it could potentially clean up a couple of the mistakes they make.
